Budding puzzle solvers and veteran match-3 players will love Royal Kingdom, a brand-new puzzle solving game that opens to a backdrop of fantasy setting wherein you are part of a royal family. King Robert has given you the task of re-decorating the old kingdom in order to make it more up to date. This gruesome task comes with its own set of rewards and challenges. Boosters and power-ups are 2 separate set of abilities that will help you clear out objects and items faster in lesser moves. This guide explains all available boosters and power-ups in detail. All Boosters in Royal Kingdom

Firstly, players must learn what boosters are and what they are used for. Boosters are essentially active abilities that all players can take in there loadouts even before a level begins. This option unlocks when you reach Level 6, and players can use up to 3 boosters at max for each level. Boosters get consumed after being used 1 time, and players can get access to more boosters from District chests and events. 

You can also get boosters by levelling up your account. The best use case of boosters is in tricky situations as they are quite powerful and do not consume a move when used. The best part is that boosters can be used in all types of levels, including kingdom levels. Check out all the boosters in the game:

  • Rocket – Rocket allows you to begin a level with a Rocket randomly placed on the board.
  • Dynamite – Dynamite allows you to start a level with Dynamite randomly placed on the board.
  • Electro Ball – Electro Ball allows you to begin a level with an Electro Ball randomly placed on the board.
  • Hammer – Hammer clears one tile or eliminates one layer of any object without the use of a move.
  • Battle Ram – Battle Ram clears the row of the selected tile and eliminates one layer of any object without requiring a move.
  • Drill – Drill clears the column of the chosen tile and eliminates one layer of any object without requiring a move.
  • Wizard Hat – Wizard Hat alters the colors of the items on the board to generate power-ups.
  • Bomber Plane – Bomber Plane launches three bombs into the board.

All Power-Ups in Royal Kingdom

Power-ups are essentially helpful abilities that players can quite literally craft in-game by matching different objects in the correct pattern. These power-ups will be created on screen at the place where you were able to execute the combinations. Players can simply then click on these power-ups to activate them. 

At the time of writing, Rocket, Spinner, Dynamite, and Electro Ball are the power-ups that can be obtained by matching four or more identically coloured items. Much like boosters, players can use power-ups in all game modes including Kingdom levels. Check out all the power-ups in the game:

  • Rocket – Rocket clears all items in a column or row, depending on which way it is pointing! Rocket can be made by arranging four things of the same color in a line.
  • Spinner – The spinner clears a random object. To make a Spinner, match four pieces of the same color in a square. When Spinner takes off, he also clears nearby things.
  • Dynamite/TNT – Dynamite clears all things within a two-tile radius. You can make Dynamite by matching pieces of the same color in L or T shapes.
  • Electro Ball Electro Ball clears out all things of the same hue. Match five objects of the same color in a line to form an Electro Ball.

Power-Up Combinations

To further add depth and strategy to the mechanics, players can even combine the different power-ups to grant them enhanced effects on the board. Many of these interactions are helpful for players in a tricky situation. Like we said before, using boosters and power-ups do not consume any move on the board. Similarly, if you combine their effects, it will still not count as a move. This way you can destroy multiple items without even consuming a move, saving you time and moves to focus on completing objectives. Check out all the power-up combinations:

  • Rocket + Rocket clears both the row and column of that tile.
  • Rocket + Dynamite clears three rows and three columns from that tile.
  • Dynamite + Dynamite clears all things within a four-tile radius.
  • Spinner + Spinner generates three Spinners, which clear three random things.
  • Spinner + Rocket or Dynamite causes the Spinner to carry the Dynamite or Rocket to a randomly selected tile.
  • Electro Ball + Rocket, Dynamite, or Spinner causes the Electro Ball to transform all of the most common things on the board into Rockets, Dynamite, or Spinners.
  • Electro Ball + Electro Ball clears all things on the board and removes one layer from any object.
