Mer-Cat

In her base form, Mer-Cat is a melee attacker specialized against Floating enemies. She deals decent damage and has a 50% chance to survive a lethal strike, making her useful in the early stages of the game. As she evolves into Commando Cat, her stats increase slightly, but it’s in her True Form, Cameraman Cat, where she truly shines. However, his long cooldown and low health mean you must protect him well to keep him alive. Once evolved into Crazed Bahamut Cat, his attack power increases, and he becomes a more reliable unit for mid-game stages. However, his True Form, Awakened Bahamut Cat, is where he transforms into a true game-changer. With faster attack speed, greatly improved movement speed, and a multi-hit ability, Awakened Bahamut is a Rusher-class unit capable of dealing massive damage in a short amount of time. He excels in Timed Score stages and can decimate enemies with lower range or slow attack rates. However, his short range and low health mean he’ll often die quickly if not protected, but his sheer offensive power makes him a top-tier choice for stages that require a strong burst of damage.

Figure Skating Cats

Once evolved into Paris Cat and eventually Cyborg Cat in True Form, she gains better stats, including Weaken Immunity, making her more effective in a wider range of battles. Though her health remains low even in later stages, her high DPS and spammability make her a reliable midrange attacker for most of the game.

Ninja Cat

Ninja Cat in her base form is a solid early-game unit, with better stats than Axe Cat and a low cost, making her an excellent addition to any beginner lineup. She excels at quickly clearing peons in the first few chapters of Empire of Cats, and her fast attack rate and short recharge time make her easy to stack for consistent damage output. However, as you progress further into the game, Ninja Cat’s base stats become less effective, especially with her low health and single-target attack. Her Evolved Form, Ninja Frog Cat, retains much of the same usefulness but begins to feel outclassed as stronger enemies appear. Her True Form, Flying Ninja Cat, adds some slight improvements in terms of cost and movement speed, but even then, she’s mostly outclassed by other anti-Red units. However, Ninja Cat remains a valuable part of the Cool Japan Cat Combo, which boosts the attack power of all your units, giving her some lasting utility.

Titan Cat

In his base form, Titan Cat is an early powerhouse unit. With high health, attack power, and area damage, Titan Cat is a reliable tank and damage dealer for the early chapters of the game. His slow movement speed and long cooldown can be limiting, but his ability to clear groups of enemies with area attacks makes him crucial for dealing with tough early-game threats. However, as the game progresses, Titan Cat’s shortcomings, such as his short range and slow attack speed, become more apparent, making him less reliable against faster and ranged enemies. Once evolved into Mythical Titan Cat and eventually Jamiera Cat in True Form, Titan Cat gains increased health and attack power, along with a 30% chance to knockback non-Metal enemies. While his True Form remains useful in certain situations, especially against enemies with long-distance attacks, Titan Cat’s overall effectiveness diminishes in the late game, as more specialized units take the spotlight.

Tank Cat

Tank Cat in his base form is one of the first units you’ll unlock, and his primary purpose is to act as a meatshield. He has high health for a basic unit and can be spammed due to his short cooldown and low cost, making him a valuable frontline defender throughout the early and mid-game. In his Evolved Form, Wall Cat, he gains even more health and becomes even more efficient at stalling enemy units, allowing your damage-dealers to stay safe. However, his damage output is extremely low, and his slow movement speed can be a disadvantage in some situations. Eraser Cat, his True Form, gains a substantial health boost, making him a much better tank for end-game content. Though he remains a basic defensive unit with no offensive capabilities, his importance as a meatshield never fades, and he remains a staple in most lineups well into the late game.

C Tier Battle Cats

C tier cats are the weakest of the bunch, and in this case, we’ve listed only Uber Rare cats to show that even the highest rarity doesn’t guarantee effectiveness. These cats may have flashy abilities, but they often lack the power, utility, or versatility to compete with better options. While they can still be useful in certain stages, investing resources into obtaining these cats is usually not worth it. This section serves as a reminder that just because a cat is Uber Rare doesn’t mean it’s automatically strong—sometimes, even the rarest cats fall short in comparison to lower-tier alternatives. It’s best to avoid relying on these unless you have no other options.

Mighty Bomburr

Mighty Bomburr may seem impressive at first with his high health, decent DPS, and numerous knockbacks, especially when facing Zombies. However, his long recharge time, high cost, and slow movement make him cumbersome in many situations. While his knockback ability and Zombie Killer traits are useful, these alone don’t justify his limitations as a generalist. Bomburr’s True Form provides additional survivability with increased knockbacks, but this also means he gets knocked back too often, lowering his overall performance. While he can be helpful in some Zombie-centric stages, there are many other anti-Zombie units that are much more efficient. Bomburr’s potential is wasted due to his sluggish nature and long cooldown, which significantly hinder his usefulness, making him one of the weaker Ubers despite his promising traits.

Kaguya of the Coast

In her base form, Kaguya of the Coast seems like a solid unit, offering a 20% chance to slow Black and Alien enemies with a fast attack rate. However, her low range and frail health make her highly vulnerable, and she often gets knocked back before being able to deal substantial damage. Her Evolved Form increases her slow chance to 100% and adds Aku targeting, which sounds great on paper but falls short due to her slow movement and attack speed, making her less effective in high-pressure stages. In her True Form, she gains the ability to pierce Aku Shields, but her low health and long attack cycle make her unreliable. The Southern Sunflare’s shield-piercing is only effective if she lands the attack, which doesn’t happen consistently enough to make her dependable. Overall, while Kaguya has potential with her crowd control abilities, her weaknesses far outweigh her strengths, relegating her to the lower tiers.

Gravi

Gravi offers a promising kit with his wave attacks and Barrier Breaker abilities, which can be useful against certain enemies like Aliens. However, his very short range and slow movement speed severely limit his overall effectiveness. Even though Gravi can generate consistent wave damage and his True Form increases his Wave Attack level, he struggles to survive long enough in tougher stages to take full advantage of these abilities. His resistance to Alien enemies is useful, but his low range means he often gets overwhelmed by more powerful Alien units. In a meta filled with powerful long-range attackers and versatile Ubers, Gravi simply doesn’t hold up well as a generalist or even a niche anti-Alien unit, making him one of the less desirable Uber Rares to invest in.

JUPITER KING

In his base form, JUPITER KING suffers from a slow movement speed and attack rate, making him difficult to use effectively, especially in stages with fast-moving enemies. Although he has decent range and the ability to knockback and slow Alien enemies, his low proc chances and poor survivability make him unreliable as a crowd controller. He gains a surge attack and Barrier Breaker in his True Form, GOLDEN JUPITER CC, which vastly improves his performance, but at a high cost that might not be suited for most players initially. The surge doubles his DPS, but his overall performance is still hindered by his low attack rate and high cost. In his True Form, this unit is much more usable, but it’ll be a while before you reach this point. And despite his flashy abilities, JUPITER KING is simply difficult to use without any significant investment, at least in most situations and compared to other units. 

As you can see, while some Uber Rare cats in The Battle Cats, like those in the S and A tiers, can dominate the battlefield with their exceptional abilities and utility, others in the C tier may fall short of expectations despite their rarity.
