Let’s begin!
Learn about the Basic Gameplay Mechanics of The Grand Mafia
The Grand Mafia is a strategy game but also boasts gameplay of other genres such as city-building and turn-based battles. After completing the initial tutorial, you will be landing in your main city from where the operations are based. Your core building is called “Mansion”, fitting the mafia theme. Players need to construct and upgrade several buildings in the game. Some of them are economical as in they provide you important resources that are required to progress in the game. Other buildings are combat related and military related that allow you to amass a fortune of troops and soldiers to carry out the dirty work.
Apart from managing multiple buildings, you also unlock the ability to use “Babes”. These beauties are not just for show but can be trained to rival even the fiercest of enemies. Players can interact with them, go on dates, give them gifts, and earn their favour. Once the favour is granted, you can use them in battles. There are multiple types of Babes and their costumes that you can recruit and learn about in-game. Speed-ups are an important resource that will be required in abundance once you reach the mid-end game status. They help you reduce the time taken for upgrading/constructing buildings.
New players will be given an item called “Protection Program” to completely prevent others from attacking your turf. If your robbery crew is attacked, you can choose to retreat them. If your turf is attacked, you can choose to send out your crew to avoid direct conflict.
Associates
Associates serve as the secondary fighters in battles. These are the henchmen that love to fight for their beloved boss in turf wars. There are 4 different types of associates in the game:
- Bruisers
- Hitmen
- Bikers
- Mortar Cars
Each type of associate has a working relationship with other associates in battles wherein they are stronger and weaker towards them. It is as follows:
- Bruisers counter Hitmen
- Hitmen counter Bikers
- Bikers counter Bruisers
- Bruisers, Hitmen, and Biker counter Mortar Cars
- Mortar cars are most suitable for dealing damage to outer walls of the enemy turf.
Factions
A faction brings all like-minded bosses together to support each other and enhance their competitiveness. Consider it like a guild or club in other similar games. Players can choose to either create their own faction or join an existing one. Factions also have many important features within such as reinforcements, Faction Club, and Faction Hotel. Note that when all faction members are inactive for 3 consecutive days, it will be automatically deleted. Hence, make sure to join an active faction that at least has players logging in each day. Here are some core features of factions:
- Faction Gifts – Challenge kingpins or purchase packs to obtain gift items for faction. A maximum of 500 gifts can be stored. Upon claiming your gift, remember to delete them to clear space for future gifts.
- Raids – Players can participate in faction raids consisting of other faction members fighting a common enemy. Deal with the situation swiftly by sending out your own reinforcements.
