Each commander has unique active & passive abilities that can help you reach new heights on your journey as the supreme king. Throne of Three Kingdoms is available to be downloaded and installed as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
In this article for Throne of Three Kingdoms, we are going to be presenting some of our personally curated tips and tricks. We have collected the information from diverse sources, such as the official community discord, facebook page, and in-game guide. Naturally, player to player experience will differ depending on the cards they are dealt in-game. However, we plan to standardize the progression by providing more generic tips that every player can follow, regardless of their chosen faction or summoned commanders. Let’s get you going!
Tip #1. Completing the Main Quests
Just like any other strategy-oriented city builders on mobile, Throne of Three Kingdoms also has an expansive main questing system. The quests are handed out to players in a chapter-wise form, providing an insight into the know-hows of the game. It’s also like a tutorial, hand-holding the gamers into acknowledging the different game systems. As a new player, these quests are going to be extremely beneficial for your progression, especially when it comes to gaining more rewards in a short period of time. Further, after completing quests from every chapter, you can receive even greater rewards in the form of premium currency, gold, and more.
Tip #2. Upgrading your Palace
Throne of Three Kingdoms is a city-builder at its core, having multiple faceted sub-genres blended together. For example, the combat system is completely turn-based and required strategic deployment of troops. The Palace stands to be the core structure in your entire kingdom. This is the place from where you pass out the rules, forge relations, and allow free trade. A higher-level Palace automatically allows you to level up other buildings in the kingdom as well. Upgrading your Palace will also open up more features and game modes to indulge in.
Tip #3. Recruit Strong Heroes
Being a gacha game, Throne of Three Kingdoms allows players to get different rarity heroes in their Arsenal. Each hero comes with their own set of unique abilities, and offers a different play style altogether. As a rule of law in gacha games, the higher the rarity of the hero, the lower the probability of summoning them. Vice versa, the lower the rarity of the hero, the higher the probability of summoning them. A strong account is always going to be having powerful commanders to turn the tide of battles. We would recommend checking out a complete tier list for the best heroes in the game.
Tip #4. Keeping your Heroes Upgraded at All Times
Throne of Three Kingdoms allows players to collect & use multiple heroes. Naturally, being an RPG title, it has different methods that you can use to increase the power level of your heroes. There are several methods, each with their unique tropes. Take a look at them:
- Levelling Up: Players can use their acquired EXP scrolls to provide experience to their heroes. Levelling up directly increases the base stats of the heroes, such as Attack, Defense, and HP. It also increases your overall account level.
- Gearing Up: Equip high level gear to your heroes in order to boost their stats such as Attack, Defense, HP, Crit rate, and Crit damage. These stats are additive in nature, and not base stats. You can find good gear in the dungeons at different levels.
- Tiering Up: Each hero in the game can be tiered up to the next level. After each tier progression, they are assigned a numbered tier beside their rarity. Heroes can get extra stats by enhancing their tiers.
- Skilling Up: Players can increase the level of hero’s skills to increase their intensity and utility. You would require Skill Points as the official currency to do so.
Tip #5. Making Judicious of your Hero Skills
Your heroes are your bread & butter when it comes to combat. You would need them to be at their best, and in an advantageous position always. Although the combat system is quite automated, there’s still some manual control given to the player when it comes to choosing the timing of your hero’s ultimate abilities. All heroes on the battlefield gain rage bars as the battles continue. You can see when their ultimate ability is ready by viewing their portrait below. P.S. It will shine when you can use them. Do not use them as soon as they are ready. Prioritize using your ultimate’s boss waves to instantly nuke them.
Playing Throne of Three Kingdoms on a bigger screen of your PC with BlueStacks without worrying about battery drainage and smooth gameplay, is highly recommended.
