Choosing a Class in Tree of Savior: Neverland

One of the most important tasks that is assigned to you right away at the start of account creation would be to choose a class. This is an important decision as the repercussions will stick with you throughout the game. There are a total of 5 classes to choose from, and once you have made the choice, you can’t go back. Each class boasts a unique playstyle and introduces unique characters with multiple weapons. Check out the classes below along with their special abilities:

  • Shield Guard – Quickly approaches the target and deals 520% physical damage to the target. Damage increases by 30% against full HP targets.
  • Magister – Instant skill, deals 560% magic attack to a selected and up to 5 nearby enemies.
  • Spirit Healer – Heals a teammate, recovering 825% magic attack HP in 2.5 seconds. If there’s no target or the target is an enemy unit, the ally with the lowest HP percentage will be selected by default.
  • Gunslinger – Bombards 4 enemies in a designated area, dealing 780% physical attack worth damage in total.

It’s imperative to learn about all the classes before you make this decision. Each class has a different playstyle that may or may not suit you in the long run. The good thing about class selection in Tree of Savior: Neverland is that you can preview their abilities beforehand to get a good idea of what they are capable of. Hence, if you like some damage and destruction, choosing the Gunslinger or Magister is not a bad choice. If you want to be an assassin, then Shadow Hunter should be your go-to.

Questing

Tree of Savior: Neverland is an MMORPG and such games love the idea of questing. In fact, the majority of the time you will only be undertaking quests from different NPCs scattered throughout the different regions of Yggdrasil. There are 2 types of quests – main quests and side quests. The former type of quests is highlighted in yellow and are very important. These unlock the majority of the game content for you on top of denoting the game’s storyline.

Side quests, on the other hand, are just progressive quests that you can undertake whenever you have the time. Both types of quests offer generous rewards upon completion. However, as a new player, you should really only be focusing on the main quests to progress to new chapters faster.

Catpals

Catpals are your friendly helpers that can assist you in combat and out of combat. These furry beasts have a set of unique active and passive abilities which can also be upgraded to give out better utility. Catpals can only use their abilities in battles, and these abilities also have a cooldown attached to them. Players can trigger them manually or automatically in battle. You can have up to 3 catpals at a time in your line-up. Catpals also come in different rarities and can be recruited via the gacha system. Other ways to get catpals remain to be limited-time events.

Catpals come in different rarities:

  • Red Cat
  • Golden Cat
  • Purple Cat
  • Blue Cat

The higher the rarity, the better the base stats of your catpal. It’s imperative that you build a squad of strong catpals in order to be more efficient in battles. Not to mention that these furry creatures also add up a lot to your total CP (Combat Power). Check out our thorough tier list for the strongest catpals to summon and add to your line-ups. Stats of carry catpals are 100% transferred to the character. Red Assist catpals will transfer 60% of their stats to the character, while those of other qualities will transfer 30% of their stats.

Catpal’s possess powerful skills that can be manually cast during battles. There are connections between some catpals. When a connection is activated, additional skill effects will be unlocked. When you get a new Catpal or evolve a Catpal, you can activate the corresponding entry in Album. Each activation provides corresponding stats bonuses, album exp, and Rubies. Album EXP can be used to upgrade Album for character stat bonuses.

The Recruitment System

Tree of Savior: Neverland has an innate gacha system that allows players to recruit new Catpals on top of also summoning limited-time costumes and cosmetics. Players can use their accumulated Catpal gacha coupons to use as the summoning currency, or if you are a paying player, simply use Rubies.
