Tip #1. Join an Alliance

This tip might sound quite straightforward but it has more depth than what you can perceive. There are thousands of Alliances in Whiteout Survival, each one more diverse and unique. A good way to judge how functional any Alliance is by looking at their weekly activity score and the number of members it has. Joining an alliance should be any player’s top priority as it rewards you with amazing resources, gives you the advantage of reaping wisdom from veteran players, and enables you to participate in the different alliance-based events that are held almost on a weekly basis. Ensure that you join an active alliance instead of a dull and defeated one.  

Tip #2. Maximize the Utility Provided by Furnace 

Your furnace is by far the most significant structure in your city. Not only does it keep your city warmer as it rises, but it also controls the level cap of all other structures in your city. To gain higher-level Troops, you must first upgrade your Furnace, which allows you to upgrade your troop structures. Furthermore, a higher Furnace level unlocks extra buildings that you may not have previously obtained, such as the Command Center, which boosts your rally size, or your develop Center, which is utilized to develop new buffs; all of them are vital to acquire as soon as possible. 

Apart from controlling the building level of all structures, it also harbors a stronger role as the only warmth provider during harsh winters. These furnaces use up coal to heat the entire city drastically. During the nights, when temperatures are the lowest, players can even use the MAX power mode to keep the city warmer. This activity will burn double the coal than usual but give your survivors more energy to work and rest peacefully. It will also keep them happy in these tough situations. Ensure to turn this off during the daytime to save coal costs. 

Tip #3. Prioritize the Growth Missions/Quests

As a new player or even a mid-game player, focusing on completing the growth mission should be your number 1 priority. The game likes to give out tons of resources in the form of these missions and quests, especially to new players. Many of these missions are simple to complete and consist of tasks that you would normally do in the game to survive. The quests are divided into 2 distinct types – Main and Side quests. 

The main quests are highlighted in yellow color, and offer more lucrative rewards. On the other hand, the side quests can be completed at any time and are not mandatory to complete in order to progress. Main quests are the best way to acquire more Gems for your account.

Tip #4. Increase the VIP Level

Increasing your VIP Level provides a variety of benefits, like extra squad slots at VIP 5 and faster construction timeframes at VIP 4. Your VIP level is increased by accumulating VIP Points, which are earned for free by simply logging in. However, this is a time-consuming method and a single VIP level increase can easily take months, depending on which level you already are at. Fortunately, there is an option to directly purchase them via spending Gems. To keep it free, use Gems and other in-game shops; otherwise, spend real money on packs containing VIP Points.

Tip #5. Recruit and Upgrade Powerful Heroes

Whiteout Survival is a survival strategy game that also incorporates many gacha mechanics to help players get access to special survivors called “Heroes”. These heroes come in different rarities, with the lowest being Rare and highest being Legendary. The higher the rarity of the hero, the better base stats and abilities they will likely possess. Use your saved up golden keys and platinum keys to unlock chests that have a chance to give hero fragments and even complete heroes, along with other important resources. In the initial phase, you can even consider using your Gems to summon heroes to help you get started with a decent hero squad. 

Much like any RPG, players can also empower their heroes to make them stronger. You can choose to level up heroes, increase their skill level, and ascend them to new star levels. All of these processes will result in massive stat improvements for the hero, directly benefiting you in battles. Lastly, be vigilant of your resources and do not overspend them on low rarity heroes as you will likely replace them in future with stronger heroes.
