How To Increase Your Combat Power In Yong Heroes: Become A Better Hero?
Like all grind-based games, Yong Heroes uses combat power (CP) mechanics. This system determines how strong your character is based on various factors and shows how effective you will be while fighting. In other words, the higher your CP score, the longer you survive and the faster you kill your enemies. In the beginning, you will not feel the effect of CP as Yong Heroes is a game that casual players can play comfortably without having to make such calculations, as we mentioned in our review. However, as you keep playing and getting close to the final level, the CP score is becoming increasingly important. In fact, after a certain point, you need to have a certain score in order to proceed further. We have prepared this guide to explain how CP mechanics work and to make you more effective on the battlefield. First, we will talk about the skills, and then we will talk about how the CP system works. Our goal is to let you win the most experience points in the shortest possible time: To do this, we need to talk about both these features.
The Skills Of Your Hero
Your hero has active and passive skills. Passive ones are always active, such as “recover 10 HP after every attack”. And the active ones need to be, well, activated. You do this by pressing the buttons just above the chat window. You probably did not notice them, since Yong Heroes enables the “grind mode” right from the start. However, you cannot use the auto-combat mode in the whole game, so you need to learn what and where your active skills are.
Here are your active skill buttons: They are tiny, aren’t they?
In the beginning, you have five active skills to use and you need to level up in order to unlock them all. Your last skill unlocks at level 30. After that, you still keep getting new skills after unlocking your second class. At the last level, you will have too many active skills: Yong Heroes lets you use 6 of them at the same time. In fact, you can set the cast order of these skills by placing them in a certain order. By the way, this is a perfect opportunity for BlueStacks Macro Recorder: After creating a cast order, you can record it once and repeat the same order forever.
The section at the bottom is for creating a cast order. When you activate the auto-combat mode, your character will use the skills in this order.
You also have passive skills, called “Chi.” Once again, there are tons of them and you need to pick according to the shortcomings of your character. For example, Blademan heroes do not have a real healing ability, so you can pick the “Bluesea Mantra” that recovers 5% max HP every 10 seconds. Check all passive skills and find out which ones will be more useful to your character: Each hero archetype can use a different passive skill. You will start to unlock them at level 30.
At level 240, you will unlock the last passive skill. Make sure to check this screen often and take a look at new usable skills, they help you quite a lot during grinding.
Skills do not affect your CP but they are of crucial importance when it comes to dealing damage & staying alive. You need to create the right cast order for the active skills and change the passive ones according to the shortcomings of your hero. There is no magic formula here: You need to find what works for you by the trial & error method.
The Combat Power Of Your Hero
Your combat power can be seen on top of your profile page, it is a numeric value. It is determined according to lots of factors, but your base stats and your equipment have the most impact. Simply put, your goal should be increasing these two things through the game: The better equipment you have, the higher the stats will be. As the stats increase, your combat points will also increase.
This is your combat power: Make sure that it stays high enough.
Let’s take a look at the equipment first because it has the highest impact. Your heroes have 12 equipment slots in total. Some of them will be unlocked at the later stages of the game, but once you hit level 50, you will fill almost all your slots.
Each piece of equipment has a gear rating. They also affect your base stats by giving you lots of bonuses. Your overall goal should be chasing items/equipment that have a higher rating throughout the game. Even if they don’t give enough stat bonuses, you should still prefer the higher gear rating: Your CP boost comes from there. Simply put, as long as it has a higher gear rating than your current setup, use it. You should aim for unlocking all your equipment slots as soon as possible and place an item into each one: Doing so will set your base CP and you will keep trying to increase it by finding items with higher gear ratings.
Better items will increase your stats too but they are not the only source for this. Anything in the game can give a boost to your stats but the most important one is your “pal”: Yes, your pet is not just a cosmetic item. It has a separate set of skills and it can help you to become stronger. Always be on the lookout for new pals, Yong Heroes have plenty of them.
Looks cool and attacks like a real maniac: The ideal companion.
Basically, collect better gear and make sure to use everything that can increase your base stats: This is how you get higher CP. Before you know it, you will become the ultimate fighter. We have other guides for Yong Heroes too, make sure to check them if you want to learn more. See you on the battlefield!
