BGMI Gets Unbanned: Playable on Both Android and iOS, Players Rejoice as New Events and Rewards Surface
As mysteriously as it had disappeared, as mysteriously it has reappeared. We are talking about the sensational Battle Royale that had stolen Indian gamer’s heart’s ever since its launch, Battleground Mobile India. The Krafton developed and published game was an IP re-mastered to fit the taste of Indian players. After several run-ins with the government over compliance and data protection issues, BGMI has finally been given a green light after it was last banned in July 2022.
Rajeev Chandrashekhar, the Minister of State and Electronics and IT, had recently tweeted out that a 3-month approval for a trial of BGMI had been issued to Krafton after it had complied with the server locations and data security issues that were raised earlier. The tweet read as follows:
“This is a 3-month trial approval of #BGMI after it has complied with issues of server locations n data security etc. We will keep a close watch on other issues of user harm, addiction, etc in the next three months before a final decision is taken”
Players around the country were delighted as BGMI can finally be seen as downloadable on the Indian Google Play Store and iOS App Store. If you’re still unable to download the game, it might still not be rolled out to certain devices as mentioned on the official Facebook page.
