Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the 9th Installment in the Old-School FPS series Set to Make a Comeback to Android and Consoles
Delta Force: Hawk Ops is the 9th instalment in the long abandoned old-school FPS series of Delta Force games which seems to be planning on making a high profile comeback to the industry very soon. Get ready to revel in the exciting tactical FPS shooter on your mobile, PC, and even consoles as stated by some of the reports. Naturally, being an FPS shooter, expect a lot of focus on multiplayer game modes such as Deathmatch, a mix of Battle Royale, and much more. However, there’s also a high probability that Delta Force: Hawk Ops is going to include a full-blown PvE oriented campaign mode that will help players understand the basics of the game as well as prefect their skills.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops is handed over to TiMi Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, the Chinese game and technology giant that are known for developing and publishing renowned titles in the past such as King of Glory, Arena of Valor, Pokemon Unite, Call of Duty: Mobile, and many more. Players can expect a high-quality game, presented in a modernized fashion that will re-invigorate the joy and nostalgia that Delta Force used to bring. Further, as per reports, Delta Force: Hawk Ops will be available on Android, iOS, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops Gameplay
To give a background to the game, Delta Force was a playable PC-exclusive FPS title developed and published by NovaLogic that launched back in 1998. Grossing millions of dollars in revenue and engaging millions of players at the time, it became an instant hit. 4 years later, they released a PlayStation version that marked the entry of Delta Force games on consoles. The console launch did extremely well for the series, further cementing its dominant position in the market. In fact, Delta Force: Urban Warfare was touted as one of the best FPS games for PS1. All was going well until the release of Delta Force: Xtreme and Delta Force: Xtreme 2, both of which received negative reviews and hence, no real attention from the players en masse.
It’s safe to say that the video game series failed to create a watermark among players, as it seemed to have no brand recall value. It will be interesting how the new features and modernized graphics will do to Delta Force: Hawk Ops, which will be releasing sometime in early 2024 as per reports. TiMi Studios have released a short 30 second trailer for the same on their official social media pages.
A full-blown announcement for the release of Delta Force: Hawk Ops will also be made on 2023 Gamescom on 23rd August. More details are scheduled to be revealed there. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the happenings surrounding Delta Force: Hawk Ops.
