On the bustling streets of Singapore, the electrifying atmosphere of gamescom asia 2023 continued to pulse, reaching its crescendo on Day 3. From the dazzling Entertainment Zone Exhibition to the magnetic WAVE PARTY, this day had it all. Here’s a recap for all those gaming aficionados who want a glimpse of the magic.
Entertainment Zone Takes the Spotlight
The highlight of the day had to be the Entertainment Zone, which for the first time allowed fans to be an integral part of the action. Situated in Halls 401-403 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, the area was a hub of anticipation and excitement.
Ubisoft did not disappoint with their showcase of a tech art for their forthcoming title, ‘Skull and Bones’, led by the incredible Kris Kirkpatrick. Moreover, the Monster Hunter Series’ esteemed producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, graced the stage with gaming influencers The Jooomers, Tashbunny, and HighGai.
And, not to forget, the Singapore Cosplay Club added flair with their Walk of Valor and Might. As visitors navigated the zone, they had the chance to test over 100 game titles, engage with more than 200 board games, and pick up some cool merchandise. Notably, there was an impressive line-up of games on display, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Just Dance 2024, and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage. Indie developers also had a significant presence, unveiling more than 50 of their titles.
Stellar Meet & Greet Session
Day 3 also boasted a sensational Meet & Greet session. It was a treat for attendees as they mingled with eminent cosplayers and voice actors. Figures like Kitz Cua and Charess captivated the audience, while voice actors such as Su Ling Chan and Craig Lee Thomas, known for their roles in Honkai: Star Rail, shared insights and moments with the crowd. It was indeed a session that enhanced the event’s charisma.
CAPCOM Pro Tour Ignites Passion
The CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023 Singapore Offline was another fiery segment of the day. With a whopping prize pool of $37,000 on the line, Street Fighter 6 enthusiasts gave it their all. Organized by LevelUp and Capcom, the ultimate victor will walk away with not just the hefty $15,000 prize but also a coveted slot in the impending Capcom Cup X.
