Garena offers an opportunity to the fans to enjoy the features of every Free Fire update before its release through a testing phase known as Advance Server. Garena Free Fire’s OB30 Advance Server was also introduced before the rollout of the actual update. It was started on September 9, 2021, and culminated a week later, on September 16, 2021. 

There were plenty of new optimizations and additions that developers teased through the testing phase, and Pet Mania mode was a part of it. The new mode came with a pets-only option and was expected to arrive through the official OB30 update of Garena Free Fire. Consequently, it was spotted in the mode alternatives but was not available to play. 

Developers, however, have officially announced recently that Pet Mania will arrive soon in Garena Free Fire. Here are more details about the upcoming pet-oriented mode:

Release date

The release date for the mode is different for different regions as Pet Mania is expected to arrive in the North America region on October 30, 2021, while according to the official Twitter handle of Garena Free Fire Europe, the same will launch on November 1, 2021.

Gameplay

The new pet-oriented mode is not the only mode to feature Free Fire character companions. Previously, Developers introduced Pet Rumble mode in May 2021 after Garena Free Fire’s OB27 update. Pet Rumble mode was inspired by viral sensation Among Us and was available in Custom game modes. 

Pet Mania, much like Pet Rumble, will be a custom room game mode and will require a special room card. Players will have to acquire Pet Mania Room Cards from the in-game store to start a game. The gameplay of Pet Mania looks pretty similar to that of the popular battle royale game “Fall Guys.”

Pet Mania will allow players to use their pets to run, jump, and avoid the various gigantic obstacles and moving platforms to come out as a winner. Although the price of a Pet Mania Room Card is unknown, it is expected to cost 100 diamonds, the same rate as a Pet Rumble Room Card.

Map

Users will be able to play the custom room mode on a special map named Air Fair. Coincidentally, Air Fair also features a similar setting as the one featured in Fall Guys. 

Player count

There will be a player limit of 20, and everyone will have to know a room password to enter the game. Therefore, Pet Mania can also be termed as friends-only mode, much like other custom rooms. 

Pet Mania will also make its way to the Garena Free Fire MAX, the enhanced version of Garena Free Fire, as both games are synchronized, and players will be able to use the same ID for both.
