The mobile gaming market is a haven for role-playing games and Heir of Light Eclipse by Com2uS is its new member. Developed by the same team who created Heir of Light, Arcana Tactics: Tactical RPG , and The Walking Dead: All-Start, Heir of Light Eclipse is the new, thrilling, fantasy-themed RPG fused with gacha elements. 

The game is now available for pre-registration on both Android and iOS platforms. Let’s look at what Heir of Light Eclipse offers. You can download BlueStacks now and pre-register the game through the emulator’s Google Play store and set it to automatically install when the game finally launches.

What to Expect?

According to the game’s Google Play page, Heir of Light Eclipse puts you into an immersive adventure in a world where light and darkness are in perpetual war. 

The game advertises a blockbuster fantasy epic in which you start an adventure with Nua and Goddess Ludmilla in protecting the “Little Crimson Tree”, which is the only defense against evil forces, from the Dragon of Darkness and stop the world’s untimely end. The game has not been released officially yet, but the developers have already extensively shared details about its characters. Let’s get to know some of the characters we’ll be meeting.

• Nua – a girl with no memory of herself but possesses immense power. She was discovered by Heylel and guided by the Goddess of Time whom she learned about life and emotions. Nua’s powers make her both protected and feared by the Church, who discreetly want to control her for their own interests.
• Celestial Sphinx – an angelic woman who is supposed to be dead. The story goes that a king interested in angels heard rumors of an angel’s corpse guarded by a hermit and his daughter. The king killed the hermit and inadvertently triggered a devastating event. The hermit’s daughter survived but is now thirsty for revenge with her blood-stained spear. After coming home to his castle, the king now fears that the “angel” is coming for him.
• Christine – the Church of the Morning Star was once attacked by skilled assassins. A letter from the city of Eleonora describes them as artificial creations with vampiric regenerative abilities and advanced weaponry. Their appearance is like a “living doll” but they are synthetic beings carefully assembled by a brilliant but vengeful mind.

• Blavatsky – also known as Zmeya, Blavatsky is a brutal and terrifying rule of the Citadel of Thorns, Dre’Gul.  Consumed by grief of her dead husband and child, she pursued dark experiments, draining blood from her subjects and seeking ways to refine it. Her madness drove people away, turning Dre’Gul into a ghost town. Later, she resurfaced alongside the 12 Knights, pouring Dark Blood to judge humanity.

• Skadi – an eccentric fairy with an affinity for the ocean. She befriended an outcast ocean elf from whom she learned their language and saved them from a plague. Skadi continued protecting the ocean elves after her friend’s death. One day, she was defrauded by the elves resulting in her freezing and imprisonment. After being freed, Skadi never returned to the ocean and never trusted the elves again.

• Sinistra – Sinistra is a mysterious orphan child, unable to speak or read, yet perceived as pure and innocent. It is believed that the child is meant to impart valuable wisdom and experiences to her caretakers. She will teach us a valuable lesson about love and hate someday, but for now do not ever try to get her to release her bad side.

From what we know so far, it looks like Heir of Light Eclipse is going to be extremely rich in lore, which is something you don’t see often in mobile RPGs. The story will be presented with stunning visuals, animations, and illustrations. The developers boasted of the use of high-quality 3D modelling to manifest the characters.

In terms of gameplay, the game has you building a unique deck of characters with over 1000+ possible combinations. With the game’s gacha features, you summon characters with varying attributes and build them to make them stronger. According to the game’s Twitter (now known as X) account, there are going to be six factions at launch.

• Dark Blood – The old war has ended, and the world lies in ruins. Yet, for those summoned to this new realm, the struggle continues. A war of fate still rages against the Church of the Morning Star.
• Immortal – Every life has its time… In the end, we Immortals are the only ones that will remain in Usher.
• Church of the Morning Star – The old war has ended, and the world lies in ruins. Yet, for those summoned to this new realm, the struggle continues. A war of fate still rages against the Dark Blood.
• Purifier – Though the darkness may linger, all evil shall be vanquished with our unwavering resolve.
• Protector – Every forest in Usher is under our protection, for we are the Protectors.
• Dominator – The era of cooperation and coexistence has come to an end. The strongest must rule over Usher.

Using your deck of characters, you engage in 5v5 clashes with enemy groups to progress through the storyline and earn resources to upgrade your deck. The game features both PvE and PvP content. Players can participate in a PvP arena where they can fight other players’ decks and compete for supremacy in the leaderboards. There will also be access to various guild dungeons and even an idle system to allow player to easily farm rewards to grow their characters.

Pre-Registration Rewards and Promotion Materials

The game has not had its global launch yet but you can claim rewards by pre-registering the game and also access promotion materials.

If you pre-register now, you are guaranteed the Epic Teresia character upon starting the game. This reward is only given once per account. The game’s Twitter account also regularly hosts events where you can get the chance to win rewards once the game launches so make sure to check that out as well as their Facebook, Reddit, Discord, and YouTube accounts.

The game will also have a program for content creators wishing to promote and play the game. As of writing, the details of the program are to be announced but the creator kit is now publicly available. The kit includes the game’s character illustrations, concept artworks, and stickers. Interestingly, you can also download the font style used by the game through their website.

When will it be Released?

As of now, there is no official word from the developers about the official global launch date of the game. Oddly enough, the game’s website states that the launch was scheduled last July 6, 2023 but this is likely about the game’s pre-registration launch, not the full release.

However, the game already has a limited launch in the Google Play stores of Canada and Indonesia. The game’s Discord server is currently filled with discussions and screenshots of the game, so this is legitimate.
