FREIHEIT has recently announced that its new RPG title ‘Hole of Abaddon: Dark RPG’ is now available to play on Android through the Google Play Store. It is unclear if the game is available on iOS as the Apple App Store page for the game does not appear to exist anymore. FREIHEIT is a Japanese game studio who has also developed Find and Tap! PictoSeeker.

True to its name, Hole of Abaddon: Dark RPG features a dark setting filled with creepy enemies. The game has both a story mode but also procedurally generated events where you fight horrific enemies. Let’s take a deeper look at the game’s features.

• Battle Scene – battles in Hole of Abaddon: Dark RPG are done in a “time command format”. This means that the game’s interface is mostly filled with action buttons and equipment icons with only the center portion of the screen showing the game camera. It is comparable to 90s era PC RPGs like Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep and Shining in the Darkness. Players can formulate their own fighting styles by combining various equipment and skills. Monsters come in multiple grades like common, elite, hero, boss, and rare and they attack you in different ways. You can enable the auto-battle mode which simplifies the game’s controls and makes it easier to level up and gather materials. You cannot use auto-battle mode during boss battles.
• Crafting and Enhancement of Equipment – you can acquire equipment by looting defeated monsters or gathering materials you find in the game. You can use these to craft various items. The game’s crafting system encompasses many categories like ore processing, material mixing, alchemy, and concoction. If you have duplicate equipment, you can enhance them through synthesis. There is randomness in all the equipment, so you need to carefully select what gear you’ll use for synthesis. The game also has achievements related to crafting and synthesis of equipment.
• Rune Stone – a Rune Stone is a magical stone with the power of elements.  To take advantage of the Rune Stone’s power, it must be repeatedly synthesized to grow into its ideal state. You can then use these Rune Stones to enhance your abilities and improve your skills.
• Magic Fruit – the Magic Fruit can be bought from shops and is a valuable item that increases your abilities permanently.
• Other Elements – FREIHEIT has carefully designed Hole of Abaddon: Dark RPG to be a balanced game. They have ensured that there is no rapid levelling up, feelings of invincibility, and overwhelmingly powerful equipment. To win in the game, you must use your equipment wisely and you can also take advantage of various elements that can assist you.
