Honkai: Star Rail is gearing up for the launch of its version 1.4 update, scheduled to drop on October 11, 2023, and it comes packed with fresh characters, events, and thrilling content to captivate players. One of the most eagerly anticipated inclusions in this update is the introduction of Jingliu as a playable character.

Jingliu, a 5-star Ice character following the Path of Destruction, takes the spotlight in this update. Her unique kit revolves around managing two types of stacks while sacrificing her allies’ HP to bolster her own ATK, establishing her as a self-reliant unit with a steep skill ceiling and learning curve. In her backstory, Jingliu held the prestigious position of being the sword master of Xianzhou Luofu and was the mentor of Jing Yuan. Her distinctive appearance features long pale hair, striking red eyes, and attire that includes a black blindfold/veil adorned with a silver crescent moon detail.

Version 1.4 will place Jingliu at the forefront during the first part of the update, with her Phase 1 banner available from October 11 to November 1. Alongside Jingliu’s arrival, players can also anticipate the introduction of three enhanced 4-Star characters. Notably, version 1.4 will mark the debut of Honkai: Star Rail on the PlayStation 5 platform, expanding the game’s accessibility.

Jingliu’s array of abilities encompasses the management of New Moon stacks and the ability to enter the Transcendence state by sacrificing both her HP and that of her teammates, ultimately boosting her ATK. Within the Transcendence state, New Moon transforms into Moonlight, unlocking her new skill, Moonlit River. Additionally, her Traces, comprising Dead End, Sword Head, and Frost Soul, offer a range of effects, including freezing foes, enhancing her SPD, and raising her CRIT Rate when targeting enemies with Ice Weakness.

Jingliu’s Eidolons, known as The Moon Violates the Heavenly Gates, Holding a Basilisk Candle, Obscured Into Three, and Erosion in Lou, further enhance her abilities, augmenting factors such as her damage output during the Transcendence state and elevating her skill and talent levels.

With the introduction of Jingliu and a host of other new characters, Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 is poised to deliver exhilarating gameplay experiences and challenges for players to delve into and enjoy.
