Junkworld – Tower Defense Game is the newest game by Ironhide Games, the same people who made Kingdom Rush. In Junkworld, you dive into an epic world where you lead the Scavengers in their campaign to save their people and win the war against multiple factions.

The game has officially launched last September 22 on iOS devices via Apple Arcade, a paid game subscription service. On Android, Junkworld is currently on soft launch, which means that it is only available to a restricted audience.

In Junkworld – Tower Defense Game, you lead your gang of scavengers and use various tactics to survive the barren desert and radioactive swamp. Let’s check out the game’s main features.

Unlock and upgrade towers and tactics – you can place towers wherever you want and it is up to you to choose where to strategically place them. There are up to 11 towers and each tower has their own abilities and limitations. Each tower can also be upgraded to make it stronger against enemies. Here are some of the towers that you can deploy.

• Defender tower – slows down enemies.
• Waste disposer – releases toxic waste to deal area-of-effect damage to enemies.
• Striker tower – deals massive damage to enemies at once.
• Machine gunner – shoots powerful blasts on enemies with the ability to boost fire rate and damage.
• Artillery –  fires projectiles that deals damage to enemies from above (i.e., Blastin’ Bullrider).
• Support – provides buffs and debuffs to enemies such as stuns or passive damage (i.e., Wifi Babies).

Aside from these general towers, Junkworld – Tower Defense Game also has special accurate snipers, lethal flamethrowers, and even very peculiar ones like a tower that turns enemies into sheep. You also have various NPCs that can support you like the Doctor who can heal the most serious wounds with a ray gun and a warrior equipped with garbage can armor. There are also various objects like a car that can turn into a bomb-dropping helicopter and explosives like mines and gas cylinders to further eliminate enemies. There is a myriad of elements that you can use to create your own tactics but you can also use 9 pre-made tactics that are ready to deploy.

Test your strategy with daily challenges and quests – prove yourself as the leader of the scavengers by completing daily challenges and quests and earn big rewards.

Make your way through post-apocalyptic worlds – fight against enemies in the post-apocalyptic deserts and swamps. Battle enemy factions and survive the harsh conditions of the wasteland. The game has 40 stages and 2 hostile terrains that you can explore and conquer.

The Android version of the game is currently at a soft launch which means that game may be only available to select devices.
