Bad Boys 4 (June 14)
The iconic cop duo played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will return to the big screen for Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth installment of the hit franchise. The trailer features Mike and Marcus’ friendship tested once again as they go on the run after finding out Captain Howard is caught up in a mess.
Inside Out 2 (June 14)
Riley has to navigate the perils of puberty in Inside Out 2. Four new emotions (Anxiety, Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment) run amok and take over in her head. There will be chaos and most likely tear-jerking moments too. Remember Bing Bong? We shall never forget!
A Quiet Place: Day One (June 28)
In this prequel movie, we will finally find out what led to the dystopian world where noise-sensitive monsters have invaded the Earth. Lupita Nyong’o leads a new set of characters who try to survive chaos in the city.
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (July 3)
It took 30 years for Eddie Murphy to reprise his role in Beverly Hills Cop, but we’re not complaining. The fourth installment sees Detective Axel Foley back in LA to investigate a friend’s death. We’re glad to report that several familiar faces return to bring you 80s nostalgia.
Twisters (July 19)
Twin tornadoes, crazy storm chasers, and Glen Powell in a cowboy hat—this disaster epic looks as thrilling as it sounds.
Fly Me to the Moon (July 12)
Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum team up to make sure Apollo 11’s mission succeeds. Sparks fly as they try to make NASA proud. A staged moon landing backup plan is sure to get people talking!
Deadpool & Wolverine (July 26)
Deadpool & Wolverine make us forget about our superhero fatigue. The tandem of the two biggest personalities in Hollywood—Ryan Reynolds and High Jackman—is just too good to pass up. Another reason to get excited? Jennifer Garner will be playing Elektra again.
Trap (August 9)
Night Shyamalan, a.k.a the director who made mindblowing plot twists a thing, is back with a vengeance. While his past few movies have been lackluster, this new thriller looks promising. A dad (Josh Hartnett) and his daughter are trapped in a pop concert set up to hunt a serial killer. The twist: the dad IS the killer, or is Shyamalan just playing with our minds?
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (September 6)
Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega playing mom and daughter? Yes, please! Tim Burton delivers a dream tandem in this anticipated sequel. The eccentric ghost is accidentally unleashed after a family tragedy, ready to wreak havoc. Cue the Day-O song…
Speak No Evil (September 13)
In this psychological thriller remake, James McAvoy showcases his acting chops as a family man with sinister secrets. A family vacation falls prey to their seemingly friendly nature, but things take a dark twist pretty soon.
Transformers One (September 20)
Who doesn’t love a good origin story? This animated prequel dives into the complex friends-turned-foes story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, which led to the divide of the alien robots.
Joker: Folie a Deux (October 4)
Superheroes may have been ousted from the limelight, but this one villain is still laughing his way to the box office. This time, Arthur Fleck is joined by Harley Quinn as they both descend into madness. It’s an R-rated psychological thriller with an unexpected musical twist.
Smile 2 (October 18)
The cursed smile continues! In the anticipated sequel of the breakout horror hit, a pop star’s life turns for the worse after a sinister smile starts following her around. Expect jump scares and a LOT of creepy grins.
Venom: The Last Dance (November 8)
The plot of this third and final installment of the franchise has been kept under wraps. We don’t know much, but here’s what we can say: the story probably continues the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home—where Eddie Brock entered a new dimension.
Gladiator 2 (November 22)
Gladiator 2 follows Lucius Verus, the nephew of Commodus, who is now all grown up. He returns to Rome to take on personal challenges and political intrigues. Directed by Ridley Scott, reports say this movie has a budget of over $300 million.
Moana 2 (November 27)
What’s next for everyone’s favorite seafaring heroine? In the teaser trailer of Moana 2, we see her stepping foot on a new island. Reports say the events are set three years after the first film. Uncharted waters mean new adventures!
Wicked Part 1 (November 27)
The iconic Broadway musical finally makes its way into the big screen. The highly anticipated adaptation will be delivered in two parts, with Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (December 13)
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim is described as an anime movie. The epic animated adventure film tells the story behind Helm’s Deep. It is a collaboration between WB Studios and a Tokyo-based animation company. A journey to Middle Earth again!
Mufasa: The Lion King (December 20)
This prequel focuses on Mufasa’s journey from an orphaned cub to the pride leader. The central focus will also be his relationship with his brother Scar, who was still known as Taka.
Nosferatu (December 25)
The classic 1922 silent film Nosferatu sees a modern remake with a sexy cast—Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgard as the obsessive vampire.
