This year, racing game lovers have exciting news about Need for Speed Mobile which will be launched globally by autumn 2024. Being such a highly anticipated game, it will be released on  Android and iOS platforms offering a thrilling racing experience on the go.

The specific release date remains unknown till now but it was revealed during Apple’s recent WWDC 2024 event.

Coming to Android and iOS

It is confirmed that the iOS version will be available even though pre-registrations have yet to start. There was a pioneer test done last year for Android users in countries such as Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Mexico which showed a wide-release plan for Android devices too.

Some Exciting Features

As we approach the game release date, more facts regarding the features of the game are being brought out. People should look forward to having races for 40 players as well as an amazing story that will bring a console-like playing experience to mobile phones. In addition, iPhone users will enjoy spatial audio that has been customized for them in the game, hence a more enveloping hearing through the creation of a 3D sound environment following the movements of your head. However, this feature will require iOS 15 or above and compatible headphones.

Journey to Release

It took a long time for “Need for Speed Mobile” to come into being. In 2022, some indications about the game first appeared, followed by announcements for Chinese release then closed beta. July 2023 saw the provision of early access to the game in Australia in anticipation of the current Global debut. On May 28, 2024, the NFS Mobile trailer was released, featuring gameplay footage. According to the clip, the game’s tracks appear to be very similar to those from NFS Heat, which was published for PC and console. The official website for NFS Mobile has confirmed that the game would have a large open world terrain for exploring, as well as a classic cop pursuit mode akin to previous NFS titles.

According to reports, it is also speculated that a beta test will take place soon, and the invitation will most likely be sent via the NFS Mobile Discord channel. However, there have been no rollouts for beta testing sign-ups, so prospective racers will have to wait.
