Rainbow Six Mobile to Start Soft Launch in August 2023
Rainbow Six Mobile is an upcoming first-person shooter RPG that lets you jump right into the middle of the action of the Rainbow Six franchise. Being developed by Ubisoft studios themselves, the game is slated to be the first officially licensed game for the franchise. Revel in the engaging Attack V/S Defense game mode, and enjoy the breathtaking graphics the franchise is known and famous for. After a successful test run with the open beta back in April, it seems Ubisoft is finally gearing up for an all-out soft launch.
The soft launch of Rainbow Six Mobile is scheduled to occur sometime in August 2023, as per the official Twitter post shared by Ubisoft, showcasing a short trailer for the tactical FPS title. In the official trailer, players can see the new and improved world map, along with a quirky “Season X” message embedded. However, since “X” cannot be determined as a season, it’s supposedly a placeholder for the first season that will start along with the soft launch in August 2023. During the soft launch, Rainbow Six Mobile is going to be available as a free-to-play game for both Android and iOS-supported devices.
Rainbow Six Mobile Gameplay
Rainbow Six Mobile is going to be a first-person tactical shooter RPG that sees you role-play as a favored commando. Ubisoft aims to bring a true-to-the-feel version of Rainbow Six Siege to players’ mobile devices with this project. This project will also make a strong foothold for Ubisoft studios to test out the waters and gauge the response from the community regarding future mobile titles. Rainbow Six Mobile is going to reportedly have up to 18 unique operators at the start of Soft Launch, with more scheduled to be added upon an official global release.
Mobile Adaptation of Rainbow Six Siege
One of the biggest pros of Rainbow Six Mobile is that it has a complete roadmap already in mind with Rainbow Six Siege. Being a direct mobile implementation of the latter title has its own set of perks, such as an established IP, creative measures to be levied while developing new operators, and fun game modes that are already well-liked by a community at large. However, importing these elements onto a platform like a mobile device has its own set of challenges as well. Some of them include the HUD adjustments, response rates, battery drainage, and resolution matching.
Ubisoft is ironing out the game in multiple stages, amicably part of the broader term “Test Phase”. Soft launch is going to be the last stage in the test phase, with the next big news to look forward to being the Global launch.
New Gameplay Elements
Rainbow Six Mobile is going to bring a twist of its own according to Ubisoft as well as the players who have tested the game in previous betas. One of the biggest is the destructible elements in the game environment that lets players think out of the box in a more creative and strategic way. You can now destroy walls, ceilings, and/or certain objects, in order to pave your way to escape a risky situation or simply to defeat enemies. Master the art of using your surrounding creatively in order to win more matches.
