Horses are the bread and butter of Star Stable Online. You ride, train, and care for your own horse. There are over 50 horse breeds to choose from in Jorvik. Most breeds in the game are real-life horses such as the Dartmoor Pony, Shire, Mustang, Appaloosa, and more. For each horse breed, there are several variations to choose from that have different skin colors and features. Like with friends, there is also a companion app specifically for horses called Star Stable Horses. This app is built for horse maintenance as it includes a mood tracker, horse salon, and a stable where you can customize your horse.

Star Stable Online can be played for free until you reach level 5. You will need to pay a one-time fee to continue playing and access features like member-only quests and multiple horse breeds.
