Awaken: Chaos Era – Team Arena Mode, Forge, and Elemental Power Systems
New gameplay mode and new systems were the last thing to expect in the newest update for Awaken: Chaos Era, the turn-based RPG developed by Century Games Limited. Just the previous update introduced a new gameplay mode called Sky Duel that took to the interest of players as they could test out different champions and builds against enemies in a real-time fashion. Awaken: Chaos Era is a free-to-play game that is available to be downloaded on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
The newest update for the game can already be seen live in-game as the update was released on 29th June 2022. Players can update their clients to the new version through their respective app stores. Regarding the new things coming, the Team Arena gameplay mode is a PvP-oriented game mode where players create 3 different teams to fight against the 3 different teams of the enemy. This diversifies the heroes that can be used in PvP and also negates the repetition of the same heroes being used in the Arena. A new Forge system along with forge-exclusive gear sets is also added to the game. Elemental Power is a different stat bonus that can be leveled up as players participate in the Team Arena mode. Some bug fixes to keep the overall functioning smooth are also implemented. Let’s check out all the new stuff that came with the 29th June update.
Team Arena Gameplay Mode
A new gameplay mode titled “Team Arena” has recently launched in Awaken: Chaos Era with the latest update on 29th June 2022. Players can participate in this game mode by going to the Arena tab where they will be greeted by the Team Arena mode. It is a PvP-based game mode where players fight against enemies, although not in a real-time fashion like the Sky Duel. In Team Arena game mode, players will create 3 different teams with each team consisting of 4 heroes and 2 Battle Spells. Players are not able to deploy 2 copies of the same hero in different teams. Hence, they are required to have at least 12 different unique heroes to be able to play this game mode. The developers have synched the rewards earned through this game mode to the 2 other systems that are also released in this update – Elemental Power and Forge. Players will be able to earn a new currency called “Team Arena Token” for every victory achieved by the player. The amount of Team Arena tokens earned per battle depends on the rank of the player. Like the classic Arena, the Team Arena is also divided into different ranks that are separated by the number of points in the game mode earned by the player.
Here are the different ranks in Team Arena Mode and the rewards associated with them:
- Bronze 3 (0-99) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Epic Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 600
- Bronze 2 (100 – 299) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Epic Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 800
- Bronze 1 (300 – 499) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Epic Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 1000
- Silver 3 (500 – 599) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Epic Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 1200
- Silver 2 (600 – 799) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Epic Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 1400
- Silver 1 (800 – 999) – Epic Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Epic Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 1600
- Gold 3 (1000 -1099) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 50 + Legendary Moonstone x 100 + Team Arena Token x 1800
- Gold 2 (1100 – 1299) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 50 + Legendary Moonstone x 100 + Team Arena Token x 2000
- Gold 1 (1300 – 1499) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 50 + Legendary Moonstone x 100 + Team Arena Token x 2200
- Platinum 3 (1500 – 1599) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Legendary Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 2400
- Platinum 2 (1600 – 1799) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Legendary Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 2600
- Platinum 1 (1800 – 1999) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 100 + Legendary Moonstone x 200 + Team Arena Token x 2800
- Diamond 3 (2000 – 2099) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Legendary Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 3000
- Diamond 2 (2100 – 2299) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Legendary Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 3200
- Diamond 1 (2300 – 2499) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 200 + Legendary Moonstone x 400 + Team Arena Token x 3400
- Legend (2500 -) – Legendary Moonstone of Icy Frost x 220 + Legendary Moonstone x 450 + Team Arena Token x 3600
During the fight, there may occur a situation when the player wins 2 out of the 3 fights. In such a case, he/she will still be rewarded as the victor due to winning the best out of 3. However, the number of Team Arena tokens rewarded will be lowered due to a single defeat. The entire system works just like the normal Arena with different seasons.
Elemental Power
The newest system to power up your champions in Awaken: Chaos Era is the Elemental Power. In the Elemental Power system, players will be delighted to know that they can directly boost the stats of their heroes by using their collected Taex. This is a new currency that is available via the Hero’s Path in the Team Arena battles. The Team Arena tokens are collected by battling in the Team Arena mode that we talked about in the above section. Players can access the Elemental Power by going to the Arena tab where it is written “Elemental Power” in small font on the bottom left-hand side.
The different stats that are offered to be upgraded in the Elemental Power are as follows:
- Health Stat
- Attack Stat
- Defense Stat
- Focus Stat
- Resistance Stat
Players will be able to level up these stats for each of the 5 different elements by investing in their collected Taex tokens. The higher the level being leveled up; the higher will be the amount of Taex currency being consumed. For example, if players level up the Fire Attack stat for the 1st level, it will cost them 10 Taex Originem. All of the Fire elemental heroes will gain a 3% extra Attack for the 1st level. In this way, players can focus on which elemental heroes and which stats they want to focus on first. The additional stats will not only help in PvP content but also the PvE content. Taex comes in 3 different rarities and are rare to obtain:
- Taex Originem
- Taex Puriter
- Taex Aeternum
Forge System
The Forge is added to the game! In the Forge, players will be able to craft new equipment using different types of new currencies. Players will be able to get the new currency from the Team Arena mode. The Seasonal reward of the Team Arena provides these currencies at the highest grade. Other ways to obtain them will be through future events where they will be offered at the different milestones. Here are the different currencies that are used in the forge:
- Epic Runestone of Bestial Fervor
- Legendary Runestone of Bestial Fervor
- Epic Moonstone
- Legendary Moonstone
- Darksteel
Using the Forge, players will be able to craft gear of different gear sets. Each craft has a specific chance of giving either Elite, Epic, or Legendary rarity of gear depending on luck. Players will be able to select to either craft a 4-5 Star gear or craft a 5-6 Star gear. Naturally, the 5-6 Star gear crafts require the Legendary quality currencies to craft while the 4-5 Star gear crafts require the Epic quality currencies to craft. With the introduction to Forge, 3 new gear sets are also released whose gear sets cannot be farmed but only crafted using the Forge. These gear sets and their abilities are as follows:
- Shark Tyrant (2 Piece Set) – Critical Hit Damage + 10% and Attack + 5%
- Death Hurricane (4 Piece Set) – Attack + 15% and Area-based damage + 50%
- Jungle Ranger (4 Piece set) – Speed + 15 and 35% chance of using another basic attack after finishing the current one (can only be triggered once per turn)

Players can refer to the actual patch notes for a better understanding of the new content that came with the 29th June update. Games like Awaken: Chaos Era that are grindy and needs to be played for a long duration of hours can be harmful to the small batteries of your mobile devices. Hence, we recommend playing Awaken: Chaos Era on a PC with BlueStacks using a keyboard and mouse.
