Azur Lane: Brand New Event Darkness Within Dawn and More
This event will require you to gather Intel Points to decrypt pieces of intel and be able to unlock passcodes to gain corresponding Azur Lane in-game rewards. The decryption screen detail will let you see your current decryption attempts on the left side of the screen.
By tapping the knobs on the right side of the screen, you can change the displayed intel on the screen. You can decrypt intel by tapping the noise-like squares in the middle of the display screen. You can access passcodes by tapping the button on the bottom right of the screen. Then, you can collect the rewards after completing intel decryption on the left side of the screen.
Darkness Within Dawn
Curious to know more about how you play this event and earn points? Here are all the details you will need.
Earn Intel points by completing the Darkness Within Dawn event missions. For every 200 Intel points you earn, you will gain one decryption attempt. Tap on the undecrypted parts of the screen to decrypt it and spend one decryption attempt in the process.
After all the panels have been decrypted, the intel is considered completely decrypted and you can change the decryption target by tapping on the knobs on the right-hand side of the screen. When all intel has been decrypted, the passcode page at the bottom right-hand side of the screen will be unlocked. Opening the passcodes page shows you all the passcodes you have decrypted.
The light on the top left side of the screen will glow green when you have entered the right codes in the right order. Once you have correctly input three passcodes, you can claim a reward from the bottom left side of the screen.
These are the items that you will be able to claim in order based on the number of grids you have decrypted:
- 10 grids = 1,000 Coins
- 20 grids = 5 times T3 Universal Retrofit Materials
- 30 grids = another 1,000 Coins
- 40 grids = 2 times T3 Offensive Skill Books
- 50 grids = 2 times Random T3 Retrofit Blueprints
- 60 grids = 2 T3 Support Skill Books
These are the daily quests you can complete to be able to collect the Intel Points. All of these quests have two goals each day:
- Log in once and defeat 3 boss fleets in sortie.
- Enhance 5 ships and retire 2 ships.
- Conduct tactical training 2 times and resupply the dorm with snacks 5 times.
- Defeat 20 enemies and build 2 ships.
- Open a tech box and enhance 5 ships.
- Resupple the dorm with snacks 5 times and complete 2 commissions.
- Enhance gear 2 times and sortie then obtain 10 perfect victories.
Call to Arms: Northern Parliament Phase 1
Just like the previous Call to Arms events, this event is a pre-event to Call to Arms: Phase 2, which is the main event. You can unlock a rare chat frame when a major event starts. The event for now will only buff some ships for the preparation phase. Here are the ships that will be buffed during this event:
- Light Cruiser Avrora
- Battleship Mikasa
- Destroyer Vampire
- Light Cruiser Pamiat Merkuria
Once the preparation phase ends, the operation phase will then start where several missions will be featured that includes the ships mentioned above. Once a certain amount of points is reached, you will then be able to claim the event reward chat frame Seal of the Polar Star.
Blueprint Completion Plan – Seattle
You can get up to 30 bonus strengthening units for the ship Seattle for every research you complete in the research lab. The bonus is limited and separated from the permanent bonus with 300 max capacity. The event that is associated with this is yet to be announced.
System Optimizations
Details under Fleet Technology to adjust bonus stats have been added. You can tap the button on the upper right corner of the details to access this new feature. Categories of bonus stats that can be adjusted are varied depending on ship types.
This game is about battleships but instead of playing actual battleships, you are going to play as an anime waifu. That sounds like a weird combination but it’s also unique — hear us out first! If you have not tried to play this unique game of ships yet, you can play the game straight to your PC. You can read our blog on how to install and register for Azur Lane on PC here.
This is an unusual patch for Azur Lane because the developers didn’t feature any characters to rerun so we can expect a lot of rerun characters in the next update. What are your thoughts on this patch? Let us know in the comments below!
