All we know about Free Fire MCPS Majors Season 6 Teams, Prize Pool, and Format
For the month of September 2023, some big news is arousing the players from the MCPS region for Free Fire! MCPS incudes Malaysia, Cambodia, Phillipines, and Sri Lanka as participating countries. The new season for MCPS Majors is about to start, and Garena seems to be all out trying to promote the tournament. MCPS Majors is also going to be quite influential for the esports race for Free Fire to dominate the region on accounts of viewers, participating teams, and prize pool. Free Fire is available to be downloaded and installed as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
For starters, the esports tournament is going to have a massive prize pool of $50,000 USD, making it one of the largest of its kind, especially for a mobile esport. 18 different teams are going to be participating to hold the coveted trophy and claim their position as the dominant team in the MCPS region. Get ready to support your favourite team, as the tournament has already commenced from 16th September, 2023.
Schedule, Format, and Participating Teams
Talking about the schedule, the tournament will be divided into 3 different stages:
- Qualifiers
- League Stage/ Group Stage
- Grand Finals
Each one has their own merits and excitement attached to them, as the top players from different countries will duke it out to claim the 1st spot in the rankings. All the rounds will be conducted in an online manner in-game. For the league stages, the selected teams will battle it out among themselves for 2 weeks, with 4 matches scheduled to be happening every day. The Grand Finals round will start from 24th September, leaving only 12 out of the 18 teams still contesting for the top spot.
The latter half of the event, and perhaps the most exciting one, the Grand Finals are scheduled to start from 6th October and end on 8th October. A total of 18 matches will be conducted, depending on the leader board teams and their rankings. Among the 12 teams, only 1 will emerge as the crowned victor. The winners from the MCPS Majors Season 6 will be sent to participate in the next international event of Free Fire.

The newest season of MCPS Majors has also seen a tremendous increase in the overall prizepool, with a combined amount of $50000 USD. The prize pool has been divided among the 12 teams that make it out of the league stages, leaving none empty handed.
