Lord of Heroes, the anime-stylized turn-based RPG by CloverGames has had a great past year with sudden increase in downloads and respectable revenue. The game had a rough patch post 1st year anniversary but it seems the game has stabilized. In fact, it’s turning 3 years old just the very next month! Time flies, truly. Lord of Heroes is a tactical RPG that features fully 3D modelled characters and makes use of the Unreal Engine 4 to render beautiful graphics at full 90 FPS. As the anniversary creeps closer than ever, the entry of the mystical beast and antagonist of Lord of Heroes – Biryu, has left the player base mesmerized. Coupled with Water Lairei, another new hero coming along side Biryu, both new heroes are touted to have powerful skill sets. As part of the anniversary special, CloverGames are also planning to re-release all paid heroes along with hefty discounts on each day of the month of April. A new hero empowerment feature called “7-Star Promotion” is also set to go live with the new update. Tons of new events for the anniversary are also planned later and will be unveiled in the next patch. Lastly, new Avillon events are also going to be included in the update. Biryu – New 5-Star Hero

Dark Biryu, the dark elemental version of the hero Biryu is coming to Lord of Heroes as the latest addition to the ever-growing roster of heroes. Dark Biryu is a 5-Star hero that is classified as a Commander in-game. Players can recruit Dark Biryu after the patch goes live through his own special recruitment banner titled “Scion of Genbu”.

Dark Biryu’s hero description reads “The imperial prince of Mir, the elect of Genbu, a seeker of transcendence—There are numerous titles that describe Biryu, but he does not care what others call him. He is constantly looking inwards, at his inner self and his own perfection.

Biryu has spent his entire life being judged by those around him. All eyes on him were filled with disapproval prior to his becoming the elect of Genbu whom everyone admired. He was a concubine-born member of the imperial family’s ancillary branches, but he was blessed by heaven to be born as a gifted and intelligent child. Biryu had been envied, looked down on, and scorned since he was a child and had to constantly endure the suffocating atmosphere of the Imperial Palace.

Biryu was compelled to stand between his siblings and observe the festival, despite the fact that he was a prince from the imperial family’s ancillary branches—and that day marked a turning point in his life.”

Water Lairei – New 5-Star Hero

Water Lairei, also known as “Dragoness of the Roaring Seas”, is the water elemental version of the hero Lairei. She is coming to Lord of Heroes with the new update as a playable and recruitable hero, adding to the ever-growing roster of heroes. Dark Mei Ling is a great hero as she provides a ton of healing to allies in addition to buffing their base attributes. Water Lairei is a 5-Star hero that is classified as a Sniper in-game. Players can recruit Water Lairei after the patch goes live through a special recruitment event.

Water Lairei’s hero description reads “Exiled from the Far East, the ‘Banished Dragonkins’ who had lost their home once, struggled for a very long time to find a place to settle. They wandered across the wildlands of Varhya, Helvania Plains, Nibelon Woodlands, and even the snowy fields of the Lumisade Outskirts, continuing to live the life of nomads.

After many long years until today, the Banished Dragonkins are currently regarded as one of the western continent’s rising stars. Upholding their tradition as the ‘Boundless Winds of the West’, they established the ‘Zephyr Partners’, which oversees all merchant groups with their headquarters stationed in Helvania.”

Dragonflame Dance: Attacks the selected enemy. Increases the Critical Hit Damage of the user and the ally with the highest Attack power for 1 turn(s). Additionally, 50% chance to trigger a Blitz 1 time(s). When a Blitz is triggered, the character immediately uses their skill, regardless of its cooldown status. More than one blitz cannot be triggered in a row.

Summoning Banner – Scion of Genbu

Keep in mind that the pity on the previously featured banner is carried over to this new featured banner.

7-Star Promotion System

Lord of Heroes has just turned 3 years old. With such grave numbers and new content added to the game, it’s only bound to happen that a new empowerment system for heroes needed to be brought up. Well, CloverGames has the solution for the power creep in the form of 7-Star Promotion. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Instead of the 6-Stars being the highest possible promotion limit for any hero, 7-Star will now be the highest star limit for any hero. Only 6-Star heroes can be promoted to 7-Stars. The new maximum level cap that a hero can reach is now Level 70 at 7-Stars. This also provides a huge stat boosts to the core stats of the heroes – Attack, Defense, and Health.

Players will be able to ascend their heroes to 7-Stars using Epic Agate and Class Agate’s. Just like any ascension, when promoting a 6-Star max level hero to 7-Stars, their current level will be reset to 1 but their maximum level will be increased to 70.

Invite A Friend Festival – We Run Together Event

Just like their previous anniversary, Lord of Heroes are again conducting a welfare-based event. For their 3rd anniversary, a partnership between CloverGames and Médecins Sans Frontières – Doctors Without Borders can be seen in full swing. They are jointly running a new event campaign called “We Are Together” which starts from 23rd March 2022 after maintenance ends and lasts till 23rd June, 2022. The entire event lasts for a total of 3 months. The new event is a great way to provide freebies to players, generate awareness as well as provide a new hero in return for completing certain milestones of the event. Players can get a free copy of the new hero Water Lairei, by completing a few requirements in terms of donation points.

The event description reads as follows – “Invite a friend who is new to Avillon, or a friend who has been away for a while. Gather donation points together and complete missions to obtain special rewards!” Here is some additional information shared by the developers regarding the event in the patch notes:

• The entire event is going to be invite based where players need to invite new players or returning players by sharing their invite codes. New players count for those players whose account has been made after 23rd March, 2023. Returning players count for those players who have been inactive and not logged into their account for over 1 month prior to 23rd March, 2023.
• Players can get their own specialized invite code by going to the event page and clicking on “My Code”. Invite friends through Kakao Talk, LINE, SMS, or any other mobile messengers to send/share the copied ‘Invite Code’ & ‘Download Link’.
• New and Returning players can get Donation Points simply by completing special missions designed according to the type of player.

Alliance Daily Check-In Event

As part of the 3rd anniversary celebrations, Lord of Heroes is running a special daily check-in event for all players that are going to be playing the game. Being a simple log in event, all players need to do is open the application every day and sign in to their account. The event starts from 23rd March, 2023 and ends on 22nd April 2023, lasting for just under a month. Players can earn themselves a new hero – Earth Mikhail simply by doing mundane tasks and logging in.

The event is going to be highlighted by the mascot titled “Mini Mikhail” that will be hanging in the main lobby of the game. Click on Mini Mikhail to interact with him and offer him an event currency called “Warm Cup of Tea” every day. Players can also get some “Warm Cup of Tea” through their Alliance on a daily basis. Players can hold conversations or talk to Mikhail once providing him with the “Warm Cup of Tea”. During the conversations, you can obtain trust points. The higher the trust level, the easier it will be to convince him to join you kingdom as an ally. Players can check the trust meter with Earth Mikahil on the right-hand side of the event screen.

3rd Anniversary Special Event: 100 Summons!

Another 3rd anniversary celebrations special event, Lord of Heroes are conducting another daily check-in event for all players that are going to be playing the game. Being a simple log in event, all players need to do is open the application every day and sign in to their account. The event starts from 23rd March, 2023 and ends on 23rd June 2023, lasting for 3 whole months. Players can earn themselves a total of 100 Contract Summon tickets by logging in for 7 days. Although the event lasts for 3 months but the check-in timers only last for 7 days. The logins need not be consecutive but should be made within the time period mentioned.

• Vie for Victory (2nd April – 16th April) (Term Event) is an upcoming event that rewards players for getting victories in the Coliseum. The rewards and milestones to get the rewards are as follows:

3. 60 Victories in the Coliseum – Crystal x 500
