MARVEL Strike Force – Update 6.4.0 Release Notes Features New Heroes, Events and Balance Adjustments
MARVEL Strike Force, the turn-based card battler by Scopely is back with the biggest update for the game in quite a while. The new update titled “6.4.0” can already be seen live in-game as it was implemented on 13th September 2022. Players can update their game client from their respective app stores – Google Play Store or iOS App Store. MARVEL Strike Force is one of the premier mobile games featuring characters from the MARVEL franchise, garnering over 20 million downloads combined.
The newest update for the game brings with it the much-wanted and hyped War of Scourge event featuring none other than Red Hulk himself! Along with the event, 5 new playable heroes – Red Hulk – the third horseman of Apocalypse, Spider-Weaver, Spider-Man (Noir), and Spider-Man (2099) of the Tangled Web team (Cosmic Crucible specialists). Mister Negative, the lynchpin of the Underworld team (War Offense specialists). A new event for the Famine Saga has also started which players can complete earning juicy rewards. A ton of balance adjustments can also be seen in a large roster of champions. Let’s see all the new things coming to MARVEL Strike Force with Update 6.4.0.
RED HULK
Red Hulk is a legendary grade character from the Gamma charged faction that is listed as a Brawler type in-game. Players can get more shards for Red Hulk by playing the new War of Scourge event featuring him.
Let’s take a look at Red Hulk’s abilities in detail:
Fiery Fist (Basic Skill) – Attack primary target for 275% damage + flip 1 positive effect to a negative effect.
Repeat this attack 1 additional time.
In WAR, repeat this attack 2 additional times instead.
When this character performs a Counterattack or Assist and has 5 or more Charged, that Counterattack or Assist gains +100% Damage and flips 1 additional positive effect to a negative effect.
Pavement Pummel (Special Skill) – Clear Barrier on primary and adjacent targets.
Attack primary and adjacent targets for 350% damage, apply Offense Down for 2 turns and reduce Speed Bar by 10%.
Clear Revive Once on the primary target.
Repeat this attack 1 additional time.
In WAR, repeat this attack 2 additional times instead.
Meteor Crash (Ultimate Skill) – Attack all enemies for 450% damage + flip all positive effects into negative effects.
Apply Trauma for 2 turns and Heal Block for 2 turns to all enemies.
Gain 500% Extra Focus for this attack.
This attack ignores Defense Up and cannot be blocked or dodged.
Clear all Battlefield Effects on the enemy side and apply the Battlefield Effect, Gamma Radiation, to the enemy side.
Gamma Radiation:
- On enemy Turn, an attack that enemy for 250% Piercing damage + apply 3 Bleed.
- Attacks from this Battlefield Effect are unavoidable.
- This Battlefield Effect lasts until cleared or until the end of the match.
- Seeing Red (Passive Skill) – On Spawn, if Charged, clear Charged.
- On Spawn, if Hulk is an ally, gain Safeguard and Immunity.
- On Turn, Heal self for 20% of this character’s Max Health.
- At the end of any turn, when this character has 5 or more Charged, gain 7 ability energy and fill this character’s Speed Bar by 50%. This can only trigger once per match and only once per WAR.
- When an enemy attacks this character, gain +1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
- Gain +60% Focus. GAMMA allies gain +60% Focus.
- For each Charged, gain +10% Speed, +20% Block Chance, and +20% chance to Counterattack.
In WAR:
- On Spawn, fill Speed Bar by 10% + 10% per GAMMA ally.
- If this character has 3 or more GAMMA allies, when an enemy attacks this character, gain an additional +1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
- When an enemy attacks a GAMMA ally, gain +1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
- Gain +50% Damage Reduction. GAMMA allies gain a +50% Damage Reduction.
- Gain +50% Resistance. GAMMA allies gain +50% Resistance.
- Defense Up and Minor Defense Up cannot be applied to self or any GAMMA allies.
War Scourge Event
A new event titled War Scourge started on 14th September 2022. Players can power up their heroes from the Asgardians, Ravagers, and Wave – 1 faction to earn some shards for the Apocalypse’s fiery third horseman, Red Hulk. Players can get a limited number of fragments for Red Hulk via this event.
Famine Saga
The famine Saga event officially started on 14th September 2022! Players can complete this challenging event to earn Awakened ability materials, Blue T2 Level Iso-8, and an exclusive costume for Rogue titled “Famine”.
GREEN GOBLIN – Balance Changes
Here are Green Goblin’s changed abilities/base stats and their description:
Base Stat Increases:
- Health +15%
- Damage +40%
- Armor +20%
- Focus +60%
- Resist +25%
Burning Range (Special Ability):
- Attack the most injured enemy with Stealth for 480% damage + Bonus Attack that targets for 500% damage.
- If no targets have Stealth, attack the primary target instead for 480% damage.
- Attacks deal 50% additional damage per positive effect on the target.
- Characters killed by this attack cannot be revived.
- This attack is unavoidable and cannot be Blocked.
Fire and Brimstone (Ultimate Ability):
- Attack primary target for 330% damage.
- Attack 5 random targets for 330% damage.
Cauterize (Passive Skill):
- On any SPIDER-VERSE or UNDERWORLD ally’s turn, remove 1 positive effect from 2 random enemies that have a positive effect but do not have Safeguard. On WAR OFFENSE, if Mister Negative is an ally, gain +350% Extra Focus for this action.
- On Spawn, apply Defense Down for 2 turns to the enemy with the most Resistance. This attack cannot be resisted.
- On WAR OFFENSE, if Mister Negative is an ally, on Spawn, apply Defense Down to all enemies. If an enemy is Mystic, apply Defense Down for 2 turns. This attack cannot be resisted.
- Gain +20% Max Health.
- On WAR OFFENSE, gain 30% Armor for self and UNDERWORLD allies.
TASKMASTER – Balance Changes
Here is Taskmaster’s changed abilities/base stats and their description:
Base Stat Increases:
- Health +20%
- Damage +30%
- Armor +15%
- Focus +10%
Imitating Strike (Basic Ability):
- Attack primary target for 300% damage.
- Transfer 3 positive effects, excluding Taunt, from primary target to self.
Adaptive Assault (Special Ability):
- Attack primary target for 350% damage + apply Stun. This attack gains +300% Extra Focus.
- Rebound chain to 3 additional targets for 300% damage + apply Offense Down.
- Counterattack breaks this Chain.
- If this character has 3 or more UNDERWORLD allies, this attack cannot be counterattacked.
Incendiary Arrow (Ultimate Ability):
- Attack all enemies for 300% damage.
- Apply Blind and Heal Block to the primary targets and 2 random secondary targets.
- In WAR, instead, apply Blind and Heal Block to all enemies.
- Apply Bleed for 2 turns to all enemies.
- Bonus attack all targets with Bleed for 200% Piercing.
- If this character has 3 or more non-summoned UNDERWORLD allies, gain +500% extra Focus for this ability.
- This attack is Unavoidable.
Copycat Criminal (Passive Skill):
- On Spawn, gain Offense Up for 2 turns.
- Gain Assist Now on each MERCENARY VILLAIN or UNDERWORLD ally’s turn.
- Gain +25% Block Chance. Gain +25% Block Amount.
- Gain a +20% chance to Counterattack + 20% per MERCENARY or UNDERWORLD ally.
- Gain +10% Damage per SKILL enemy.
- Gain +30% Damage. MERCENARY VILLAIN or UNDERWORLD allies gain +30% Damage.
- In WAR:
- On Spawn, fill Speed Bar for self and all MERCENARY VILLAIN and UNDERWORLD allies by 10% + 10% per MERCENARY or UNDERWORLD ally.
- On Turn, if this character has 2 or more MERCENARY VILLAIN or UNDERWORLD allies, apply Taunt to the enemy with the highest Damage.
- This is unavoidable
- Gain +10,000% Extra Focus for this
- Assist allies with non-attack abilities.
- Gain +25% Damage for self and UNDERWORLD allies.
KINGPIN – Balance Changes
Here is Kingpin’s changed abilities/base stats and their description:
Base Stat Increases:
- Damage +62%
- Armor +110%
- Resist +28%
- Speed +42%
Batter (Basic Ability):
- Attack primary target for 270% damage.
- If this character has 3 or more non-summoned UNDERWORLD allies, gain 15% Crit Chance + 15% Crit Chance for each non-summoned UNDERWORLD ally.
- On Crit, Barrier self for 10% of this character’s Max Health.
- 50% chance to gain an Assist from a random ally.
Crime Lord (Special Ability):
- Summon 3 Bodyguards. Bodyguards gain Taunt and 2 Deathproof when Summoned.
- On WAR OFFENSE, apply Safeguard to self and all UNDERWORLD allies.
Boss’s Orders (Ultimate Ability):
- Apply Defense Up for 2 turns to self and all allies.
- Apply Offense Up for 2 turns to self and all allies.
- Gain an assist from a random Underworld ally.
- Gain an assist from a random ally.
Mastermind (Passive Skill):
- On Spawn, summon a Bodyguard. Bodyguard gains Taunt and 2 Deathproof when Summoned.
- On this character’s or any VILLAIN ally’s turn, 50% chance to apply Assist Now to self or a random ally.
- At the end of this character’s turn, if this character has Barrier, apply Speed Up and Offense Up to all Summoned allies.
- On Attacked, fill this character’s and all Summoned ally Speed Bars by 20%.
- Gain 60% Focus. UNDERWORLD allies gain 60% Focus.
- Gain 60% Resistance. UNDERWORLD allies gain 60% Resistance.

Unseen Army (Special Ability):
- Summon 3-Hand Ninjas with Offense Up and Regeneration.
- Clear all negative effects from self.
- Possible Summons:
- Hand Blademaster
- Hand Archer
Ready the Trap (Ultimate Ability):
- Apply 2 Counter to self and all allies.
- Apply 2 Deflect to self and all allies.
- On WAR OFFENSE, apply 2 Deathproof to self and all allies.
Secrets of Death (Passive Skill):
- All HAND and UNDERWORLD allies gain a 10% chance to Revive with 20% of Max Health.
- All other allies gain a 5% chance to Revive with 15% of Max Health.
- On WAR OFFENSE:
- If this character, any HAND ally, or any UNDERWORLD ally has Counter, those characters gain +50% Crit Chance.
- If this character, any HAND ally, or any UNDERWORLD ally has Stealth, those characters gain +20% Crit Damage.
