Big news is brimming for PUBG players as Krafton INC have announced a grand map reveal coming to PUBG Mobile with the 7th anniversary event. The map, titled as “RONDO”, is an exclusive 8×8 kilometre vast map with multiple strategic locations that offer new types of drops. The map is set to release in March 2025, along the same time as the 7th anniversary of the first person shooter. RONDO map will only be available to players in the Battle Royale mode. Considering the size of the map, it will open up lot of strategic possibilities for both squads and solo players.

All-New RONDO Map Grand Reveal

During the PMGC 2024 LAN event in London, fans were treated to an exclusive look of the vivid RONDO map, which will launch in March 2025. This map combines modern architecture with traditional Asian charm. Previously, in maps Sanhok and Vikendi, we experienced fast-paced stealth gaming amid the foliage and chilled long-range warfare in the cold terrains.  

The new RONDO map will add a fresh and new essence that has been lacking for a long time. This map combines cityscapes and old-fashioned architecture, and we can hop and play based on our gaming requirements. Players can climb the tallest building in the RONDO and have an eye on the entire city, or choose to visit Japanese shrines for a peaceful and composed start. According to insiders, this new map will have various unique elements that will set it apart from existing maps.

New Features Coming Alongside RONDO Map in PUBG Mobile

While we do not know the full extent of locations and features coming with the RONDO map, some of the reputed sources have leaked coming of these special features:

• Double Plane Path – In the first time in PUBG history, players might be able to travel in more than 1 airplane across multiple instances. These two planes will fly to various RONDO spots, where we will be able to jump as desired. However, before leaving the spawn island, we must select only one airplane. Since the map is so large, one plane will not be enough to carry all passengers to their desired drop location. The possibility of the addition of an extra plane sounds awesome!
• New Weapon JS9 – This unique submachine gun is specific to the RONDO map in PUBG Mobile. This small SMG will be critical in early game quarter combats in both the metropolitan and suburbia parts of the map.
• Stun Gun – This amazing non-lethal weapon is going to be exclusive to RONDO map. This device can be used to momentarily immobilize an enemy with its high-voltage electric shocks. This stun rifle will undoubtedly affect the game in the confined corridors of RONDO’s buildings.

PUBG Mobile 7th Anniversary Commences on March 2025

With the 7th anniversary in sights, PUBG Mobile is gearing up for some massive game overhauls. The addition of EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse Devices) is confirmed, and this will serve as a useful tactic in tricky situations. This technology can be used to jam and switch off electronics like gun sights, laser grips, and car motors. It will be an extremely valuable tactical tool in the game.

The early preview video also teased the 7th Anniversary update for PUBG Mobile. This week, we’ll have a special theme centered on the hourglass. This update will bring back some of our favorite features, such as floating islands. The Mylta Power of Erangel will also receive a nostalgic golden sand makeover, resembling the Mylta Power from the previous Erangel map. Metro Royale Chapter 24 is also set to release sometime in January 2025. The World of Wonder, a popular creator focused mode, is also getting an expansion to provide additional rewards and milestones for creators worldwide.
