If you’re an FPS fanatic, there’s a good chance you’ve heard about PUBG Mobile unless you’re living under a rock. The titular mobile shooter continues to amaze its player base with new themed game modes and new maps. The latest update, titled as “Version 3.4” brings about several new game modes for hardcore veterans to enjoy. The update and its contents can already be seen live in-game as it was released on 11th September, 2024. Let’s check out all the new game modes and other features released with this major update.

PUBG Mobile 3.4: Bloodmoon Awakening

The Bloodmoon Awakening is a themed game mode coming to PUBG mobile with 3.4 update. The mode will be available from 10th September to 10th November, lasting for roughly 2 months in total. The supported maps for this game mode include Livik, Erangel, and Sanhok. Players will be able to play both ranked and normal with this game mode. 

You must drop down in the new POI, collect the automatic recall card, take finishes, and then leap to the main island for some tough action.  The POI includes numerous hiding areas where you can hide and launch a surprise attack on your adversaries. In the POI, you can notice a closed coffin standing near the wall. Approach the casket and select enter. You will be able to enter the casket, which will shut behind you. When the adversary approaches, press Leave to climb out. Remember that it can only be used once. After you quit the object, it will break, rendering it obsolete.

Themed Transformation

In this brand-new mode, players have the ability to undergo a surprising transformation into a wolf. All you have to do is acquire shards in the game and use them. Once you’ve transformed yourself in the game, you’ll be able to deflect bullets and run quicker. However, keep in mind that there is a limit to how frequently you can utilize the shards back-to-back. As a wolf, you will have access to a new ability called “Howl”. When activated, all allies nearby will get a speed boost and damage reduction buff.

Vampire Transformation

Players can also turn into a bloodlust-filled vampire by using Blood Oath Extract. Travel short distances with the ability to fly when you become one. After reaching a given altitude, choose a landing place to swoop down and do damage while knocking foes back. This concludes the transition.  Fire energy bombs that emit Crimson Gas as they explode. Enemies caught in the gas cannot use medical supplies. Eliminating an adversary (whether in human or Vampiric Fiend form) will produce a “Blood Orb” that, when touched, swiftly restores health. Vampiric Fiends can absorb these orbs from a distance.

Crimson Castle

Crimson Castle is a new map that features ruins of an ancient castle that was part of a vast empire. Players battle it out in an enclosed space to reach the last reward crate. Day and night are two time zones inside the castle. During the night time, a “Blood Moon” may appear. 

The castle grounds include a variety of distinct features, including the gardens, wine cellar, castle interior, and more. There are plenty of supplies available in these regions. Hide in one of the numerous coffins scattered about. While hiding, you may see what is going on outside the coffin. Ritual Crates in the altar room hold valuable prizes, as well as the Vampire Throne activation item. Eliminate your adversaries in order to get there first. Use the Crimson Keys spread throughout the map to create a temporary gateway into the Crimson Castle. Use the teleporters outside the Crimson Castle to quickly enter the region.

Wolf Settlement

Players will get to experience what it feels like to be part of an ancient wolf settlement. Unveil the hidden treasures deep within the ruins of the settlement. Much like crimson castle, wolf settlement also alternates between day and night. At nighttime, players will be able to access a puzzle in the ancestral statue beneath the Spirit Tree. Make sure to solve the puzzle for some juicy loot. 

There are numerous ancient sites to visit, including a pub, station, gathering hall, the Spirit Tree, and more. There are plenty of goods in the places. Find the lost wolf spirits dispersed across the community and touch them to return them to the Spirit Tree. They’ll leave behind provisions.

Vampire Dracula – New Themed World Boss

The Vampire Dracula is a limited-time themed boss that all players can access. You will firstly need to acquire Crimson Crystal from the map and shatter it to open a Crimson Rift. Go into the rift and you will find Dracula in all his glory. Dracula is extremely agile and will approach his prey quickly, launching deadly melee attacks. 

To reach victims farther away, he will transform into a bat and immediately close in on them. After slaying Dracula, he will drink the power of crimson and become insane. Dracula employs a variety of ranged strikes during his frantic state. Get behind cover to avoid them! Dracula acquires a shield during his furious state. Break the neighbouring energy orbs to open up room for assault. Defeat the ferocious Dracula to receive incredible crate prizes, and a rift will appear to depart the room.

Blood Clan Treasure Clash

In Blood Clan Treasure Clash, all teams are divided into groups. Each group is given a Blood Clan Chest. This chest’s location will only be available to members of the group. Players will need to go to the chest and interact with it to activate a countdown, post which all team members will be given juicy rewards.

Treasure Spectre

Locate Gargoyle Troves on the map and trigger the stone gargoyle statue within to disclose the location of crates in the region. When certain containers are opened, they may reveal a Treasure Specter. Defeat the Treasure Specter for incredible riches. If you do not fight Treasure Specters within 30 seconds, they will vanish and flee.

Horse – New Vehicle

Horse is the newest vehicle added to the game with version 3.4 update. It can navigate complex terrain silently and easily. It can drive ahead on its own while avoiding minor obstacles, and players can fire from it while mounted. It can jump and swim. Players can shoot from it while mounted and follow friends. The Horse requires stamina to travel. When its stamina is low, it can only walk slowly. Stop and relax so that its health and stamina can gradually recover on their own. Fuel battery packs do not improve a horse’s stamina. You can also give the horse fruit to boost its health and stamina. Each player starts the match with ten apples.

Hovercraft – New Vehicle

The hovercraft is an amphibious vehicle that can travel on land and water and can turn in place. This four-seater vehicle is outfitted with protective glass, preventing its occupants from firing at opponents outside, and vice versa.

Dual MP7 – New Weapon

Dual MP7 is a new pistol type weapon. Using a 9mm ammo, it boasts a decent fire rate and mobility. Players can get the new weapon as part of air drops or simply on the ground at certain locations.
