Get the New Champion Tatsu for Free via Champion Training Tournament in RAID: Shadow Legends
Tatsu, a brand-new legendary champion has just been unveiled recently by Plarium for their hit turn-based RPG RAID: Shadow Legends! The addition of Tatsu comes amid the raging Call of the Arbiter short animated film series that is being run on YouTube by Plarium to promote the game. RAID: Shadow Legends is available to be downloaded as a free-to-play application on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
Tournaments are the bread and butter for Plarium whenever they introduce new legendary champions as it incites a competitive battle against all players. These tournaments can get quite rough, with people ready to spend loads of money to get their hands on the shiny new champion. There are different groups of 100 players, with each group also having a local leader board. If you get lucky, you might get an easy leader board where fewer active players are competing. However, majority of the time, such luck is not seen by many. Hence, it’s quite slim of a chance that you will be able to get a free Tatsu out of this champion chase tournament. Do not worry as we have a good action plan for our readers that can be read in the later section of this article. Let’s get right into the details of the tournament and the champion as well.
Tatsu – Abilities and Passives
Tatsu is a Force affinity legendary grade champion from the Shadowkins faction. Tatsu is a new champion that is being added to the game as part of the Call of the Arbiter video series. She is an Attack based champion, which means that all of her damage from her skills is directly proportional to her Attack. She possesses a very high base Attack of 1553 and a low base Defense of 1046. Tatsu is expected to be a top tier DPS pick against enemies that have a lot of buffs to steal and dispel. She is going to be especially good against champions that can make use of Sleep debuff such as Siphi the Lost Bride.
Here is a list of Tatsu’s skills in detail: –

Here are some useful tips and tricks that we have personally curated to increase your point gain in the most efficient manner:
- Promoting Champions – Promoting your owned champions is one of the best ways to get a burst of points in the least amount of time. You simply need to use same grade champions or chickens to increase their ranks. Ranks are determined by the amount of “Stars” the champion has. It should not be confused with rarity (i.e Rare, Epic, Legendary). Naturally, promoting a higher ranked champion will give you more points. For example, promoting a 5-Star champion to 6-Star gives players 300 points while promoting a 4-Star champion to 5-Star only gives players 100 points for the tournament.
- Leveling Champions – Levelling your owned champions stands as the best way out of all the other ways. This is due to the fact that it is resource friendly as in it will require only your energy. It is also quite free-to-play friendly. Make sure to use an XP booster while you’re farming XP in the campaign stages. On top of levelling up fodder champions, you will also get a lot of equipment that can be sold for some extra Silver. This silver can be used in future for an Artifact enhancement event.
- Ascending Champions – Ascending your champions is one of the worst ways to get points in this tournament. Not to discount the fact that it still gives points but they are quite miniscule in comparison with the other methods.
- Skilling Up Champions – In the last year, Plarium also started giving out points to players for upgrading their champion’s skills in the Champion training tournament. The higher the grade of the book used; the higher the number of points awarded.
