RAID: Shadow Legends – Guaranteed Genzin Summoning Event and 10X Summoning Event
New and exciting events are flooding the land of Teleria in RAID: Shadow Legends, the popular turn-based RPG developed by Plarium. Starting the events is one of the most anticipated events for all players – A Guaranteed Legendary Champion Summoning event. These are some of the rarest events to come by where Plarium offers a certain legendary champion which is guaranteed at a certain amount of Ancient Shards/Void Shards spent depending on the type of the event.
This time, Genzin, the Spirit affinity Attack type legendary grade champion from the Shadowkin faction is going to be making his way as the guaranteed champion! Along with this event, another 10X Summoning boost-up event for the legendary heroes Dracomorph and Hegemon will be starting on 29th November 2021 as part of the Thanksgiving triple boost event.
Guaranteed Summoning Event for Genzin
Starting from November 29th, 2021 till 1st December 2021, players will be able to get their hands on a guaranteed Genzin champion after summoning 120 Ancient Shards. Players can summon their ancient shards after they even start and the summoning will count towards your pity for a legendary champion in the mercy system. The guaranteed summon for Genzin will not reset your existing pity. Before you summon, let’s take a look at some of his abilities and whether Genzin is worth your resources or not.
Genzin is an Attack type Spirit affinity legendary champion from the Shadowkin faction that specializes in turn meter manipulation and dealing massive AOE damage. His 1st skill Flowing Cuts is a single targeted damaging ability that deals with 3 hits simultaneously with each hit filling his turn-meter by 6% each. This skill can hit decently but not very hard compared to the multipliers of his other abilities which is understandable since it’s a basic ability. His 2nd ability Steel Parting is an AOE targeted damaging ability that states it targets all enemies, having a 75% chance of inflicting a Defense down debuff for 2 turns and dealing massive damage. Each critical hit will increase Genzin’s turn meter by 10% each, up to a maximum of 40% if it hits all enemies critically. His 3rd ability Fated Vengeance is a single targeted burst damage ability that states Genzin deals damage to the target while ignoring any Unkillable or Shield buffs. This ability will fill his turn meter by 30% if the champion is above 50% HP after using this skill. If the target is under 50% of his MAX HP after using this skill, it will fill 60% of his turn meter. If Genzin kills the target with this ability, then he will reduce the cooldowns of his Fated Vengeance and Steel Parting skill by 1 turn each. Genzin’s passive Bushido states he gets 10 Speed and 50 resistance if the number of champions in his team is equal to or lower than the number of champions on the opponent team. However, this passive will always work against bosses.
Take a look at Genzin’s official skills in detail:
Flowing Cuts (Attack) – Attacks 1 enemy 3 times. Each hit fills this Champion’s Turn Meter by 6%
Steel Parting (Attack) – Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns. Each critical hit fills this Champion’s Turn Meter by 10%.
Fated Vengeance (Attack) – Attacks 1 enemy. Will ignore [Unkillable] buffs and [Shield] Buffs. Fills this champion turn meter by 30% Fills this champion’s turn meter by 60% instead of the target having 50% HP or less after this attack. Also decreases the cooldown of [Steel Parting] and [Fated Vengeance] skills by 1 turn if this attack kills an enemy.
Bushio (Passive) – Increases this champion’s SPD by 10 and RES by 50 if the number of Champions on this Champion’s team is equal to or lower than the number of enemies on the enemy team.
[This effect always works when fighting bosses.]
We recommend going for Genzin in this event if you have the 120 Ancient Shards as he is a strong PvP unit but will not be recommended for new players who will get a much better value by opening these shards in a 2X Summoning event.
10X Summoning Rate-Up Event
Apart from the guaranteed Genzin event, another new event popped out of nowhere for the 10X boosted chance of summoning Dracomorph, the legendary attack type magic affinity champion from Ancient and Sacred Shards as well as Hegemon, the legendary attack type void affinity champion from Void shards.
Keep in mind that it is not recommended to summon your void shards at a 10X Summoning event since it does not boost the base chance of summoning a higher rarity champion but only increases the chance of Hegemon appearing 10 times more if you happen to summon a legendary champion. It is only recommended if you are close to your pity in the mercy system.
For dracomorph, it’s recommended to summon the Ancient Shards if the player is planning to go for the guaranteed Genzin event because Dracomorph is still one of the top-tier legendary champions for the Clan Boss as a poisoner.
Let’s learn more about Dracomorph by looking at his abilities:
Seeping Pain (Attack) – Attacks 1 enemy. Damage increases by 10% for each debuff on the target. Will attack 1 random enemy with any surplus damage if the target is killed. Damage inflicted is equal to triple the surplus damage. The surplus damage cannot be critical.
Poison Jaws (Attack) – Attacks 4 times at random. Each hit places a 5% Poison debuff for 3 turns.
Baleful Eye (Attack) – Places a 25% Weaken debuff and a 60% Decrease DEF debuff on all enemies for 2 turns.
Aura (Leader Skill) – Increases Ally ACC in Faction Crypts by 50.
As we can see, Dracomorph can not only place 4 stacks of poison for 3 turns using his 2nd ability Poison Jaws but his whole skill set revolved around Poison. He deals more damage to targets who have more debuffs. He’s one of the more lucrative champions and players might be tempted to summon for him but remember, there is no guarantee for Dracomorph. Hence, we recommend not summoning your Ancient shards unless close to pity in the mercy system or if you are planning to go all the way till 120 Ancient Shards to get the guaranteed Genzin.
