Hydra Battle Updates: New Challenges
Ahead Hydra Battles are about to get a lot tougher with the newest tweaks. One of the major changes is setting a Turn Limit at 1000 Turns, keeping these fights shorter. In return, this encourages one to make faster and more efficient teams to reach the damage targets a lot quicker. The Serpent’s Will buff has been altered, too—now a newly grown Hydra Head gets full damage immunity, which makes it impossible to nuke a regrown head right away.
Also, new Digestion and Devour mechanics will make a comeback with fresher, more strategic ways around them. Make every Hydra fight as challenging as they were in the original by increasing the difficulty, forcing continuous adaptation of tact to powerful evolving champions.
Shields: Power with a Limit
This is balanced through the usage of a new shield cap at one million points to allow strong builds but still be manageable. However, by stacking shields provided through both Artifacts and skills, players can achieve up to two million shields. This allows for the previously game-breaking Shield strategies to now be more manageable but still keeps high-level builds feasible in tough battles, such as those against the Demon Lord and Hydra.
Trunda Giltmallet: The Balanced Warrior
Trunda Giltmallet’s skills have been slightly rebalanced with the aim of keeping her impactful but not overpowered in Hydra Battles and the Arena. Golden Mallet now places a 50% chance to apply a Stun debuff on both hits, while Cloak of Ages skill will ignore 50% of target’s Defense—but only on the second hit, which is going to be normal. This keeps her powerful enough without breaking the game balance.
These changes also make Trunda more viable in battles, especially with the buff to her third skill, Forge Rhythm, which deals more damage if the enemy has a Stone Skin shield on. With the aforementioned changes, she remains one of the best choices for your Hydra Battle teams.
