RAID: Shadow Legends – New Champions, Champion Rebalancing and Referral Program Update in Patch 5.80
RAID: Shadow Legends by Plarium is a turn-based RPG that is known for its graphical advertisements and consistent marketing. The game has now taken a step forward to promise players consistent updates. RAID: Shadow Legends is available to be downloaded as a free-to-play title on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store. The new patches seem to be occurring on a bi-weekly basis, which is standard for games of this genre. Players can expect a ton of new additions to the features RAID: Shadow Legends has to offer along with some new champions that are ready to rumble in the fields of Teleria. Some champions are also getting rebalancing in some of their skills for the fairness of the game. Among the list of the champions, we have those that are unused by a majority of the player base or are simply power crept by new champions. A new season of the Forge Pass has also started along with a new artifact set available exclusively through the Forge Pass.
In the list of new champions, we have the following additions coming to the roster of RAID: Shadow Legends:

Lonatharil
Lonatharil is a new legendary grade Force affinity HP-based champion from the High Elves Faction. We recommend building Lonatharil with Perception, Speed, Swift Parry artifact set with HP%/Defense%, HP%/Defense%, and Speed as main stats and a focus on Speed, HP%, Defense%, and Accuracy as sub-stats.

Gallantry (Active)
Attacks 1 enemy, Decreases the target’s MAX HP by 30% of the damage inflicted. Places a [Shield] buff equal to 10% of this Champion’s MAX HP for 2 turns on the ally with the lowest HP.
Flicker Barrier (Active)
Attacks all enemies. Places a [Shield] buff on all allies for 3 turns equal to 20% of this Champion’s MAX HP.
If there are any dead allies, places a [Shield] buff on all allies for 3 turns equal to 30% of this Champion’s MAX HP instead.
This buff cannot be removed, stolen, transferred, spread, or have its duration increased or decreased by enemies or allies.
Finest Hour (Active)
Places a 30% [Increase C.DMG] buff on all allies for 2 turns, then teams up with all allies to attack a single enemy.
Piercer (Passive)
Inflicts 20% more damage against targets under [Shield] buffs.

Increases Ally HP in Doom Tower Battles by 35%
Teodor the Savant
Teodor the Savant is a legendary grade Force affinity Support type champion from the Knight Revenant Faction. We recommend building Teodor the Savant with Perception, Speed, Swift Parry artifact set with HP%/Defense%, HP%/Defense%, and Speed as main stats and a focus on Speed, HP%, Defense%, and Accuracy as sub-stats.

Chymistry (ATK)
Increases the duration of all [Poison] debuffs and [HP Burn] debuffs on all enemies by 1 turn. Then, instantly activates any [Poison] debuffs and a [HP Burn] debuffs on each enemy.
Places a 25% [Weaken] debuff for 2 turns on enemies not under [Poison] debuffs or [HP Burn] debuffs.

Fumigator (Passive)
This Champion’s RES is increased by 5 for each [Poison] debuff on the enemy team.

Rakka Viletide
Rakka Viletide is a legendary grade Void affinity HP-based type champion from the Orcs Faction. Referral Program Update
The Referral Program Update aims to revive the energy players once had to invite their friends to their beloved game. Players earn some rewards for different milestones that their friends achieve whom they referred through their special referral link. The referral link can be generated by going to the Referral tab.
Here are some of the changes coming to the Referral program with Patch 5.80:
- Players who have already invited 3 people through their referral link will now get 3 extra slots for referrals.
- The level milestone has been removed from Level 50 and a new milestone is set at Level 51 for some extra rewards.
- Instead of 200 energy, players will now get Epic champion fragments when the referrals reach Level 10.
- A new legendary champion’s fragments can be obtained when the referrals from the 3 extra slots reach Level 30.
- Players can also earn special skins for the new Epic and Legendary champion from the referral program according to the total level and activity levels reached by all the referrals combined.
Champion Rebalancing
The year of PvP has become quite an internal meme among the community of RAID: Shadow Legends as the game developers promised that they would favor the PvP aspects of the game yet no significant changes can be seen except for little champion rebalancing here and there with every patch. For Patch 5.80, some more champion balance adjustments can be seen for a small pool of champions. Here are the champions and the changes:
JAREG
Stunning Toss (1st ability) – Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Has a 75% chance of placing a (Stun] debuff for 1 turn.
Talons (2nd ability) – Attacks 3 times at random. Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% (Decrease ATK] debuff and a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns
LADY ETESSA
Blessed Missiles (1st ability) – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 40% chance of placing a Block Buffs debuff for 2 turns.
Whiplash (2nd ability) – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 75% chance of placing a Stun debuff for 1 turn.
Fiend Purge (3rd ability) – Damage inflicted by this Champion and any allies joining this attack will be increased by 20% if the target is under a [Fear), [True Fear], [Freeze], [Provoke], [Sleepl, [Stun), or (Petrification) debuff. Allies joining the attack use their default skills.
TESHADA
Savage Fury (1st ability) – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 50% chance of placing a 60% Increase DEF] buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
Maximum Carnage (2nd ability) – Attacks 3 times at random. Each hit has a 75% chance of placing a 25% [Weaken] debuff for 2 turns.
Spirit Appeasement (3rd ability) – Revives an ally with 40% HP and 40% Turn Meter, then heals all allies by 15% of their MAX HP.
