Standoff 2 Unveils ‘Zone 7’ Map for Season 7
Axlebolt recently revealed the brand-new map ‘Zone 7’ for Standoff 2. The map is expected to be released during Season 7, more specifically, the 0.28.0 Outcast update.
Standoff 2 is a free-to-play first-person shooter where players engage in tactical battles and dynamic firefights set in various locations around the world. If you are familiar with the game Counter Strike: Global Offensive (now Counter Strike 2), then this game will feel right at home. Global tactical operations can take place in the aesthetic mountains of Province to the abandoned streets of Sandstone. However, a new location has been added to the mix that is set in an abandoned military base situated in the middle of canyons.
The recently published map review uploaded on YouTube gives us more insight into the upcoming map. The map is set at nighttime, but all parts are well-lit, so you do not have to worry about enemies hiding in the shadows. In general, the map contains plenty of long and narrow hallways, especially those of the buildings where the A and B sites are located. This will promote a lot of long-range gameplay which can give AWM users a good advantage. There are plenty of turns indoors as well, so you should watch out for peekers.
What appears to be the A site is a vast area that is only separated by a thick column. There are three entrances to this site, too (two connected to each team’s spawn, one connected to mid), so firefights can get heated when the two teams collide with each other. The outdoor areas of the map, like the mid portion, have a lot of abandoned and destroyed military vehicles surrounded by various shipping containers and platforms. There is a lot of verticality in this map, even in the indoor areas, so players should point their eyes in all directions while moving. The interior layout itself is also pretty complicated, so players should invest time in studying this map when it first launches so they can have an edge over others.
Overall, Zone 7 gives Standoff 2 players a fresh experience by providing a map with a lot of verticality and narrow areas that force players to adapt. Weapons such as the AWM and M40 sniper rifles have an advantage in the long and narrow areas but may struggle indoors. Team communication is going to be important in this map because the map has a lot of verticality, and those high areas need to have proper callouts to alert teammates.
If you haven’t done so already, install and play Standoff 2 now on PC with BlueStacks. By playing on BlueStacks, you can have a significantly huge advantage because of your keyboard and mouse input. You need not worry about the controls but only worry about the strategies required to win the match.
