Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross – Covenant of Light Tarmiel and Final Boss Battle Taizoo, Twigo, and Waillo
The new update is scheduled for Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, the turn-based RPG by Netmarble based on the popular anime/manga franchise IP of Seven Deadly Sins is ready to roll out on 3rd May 2022. It is a quick and short update with little things to show for it.
First of all, the new hero Covenant of Light Tarmiel is finally entering the 2nd week since its release and is still running as a popular choice to summon on among the multiple banners currently live. Apart from that, the Final Boss Battle featuring Taizoo, Twigo, and Waillo is returning with this update along with the Final Boss Battle Exchange Shop. A new Battle event will also be held with amazing rewards. Let’s check out all the new stuff coming with this update scheduled on 3rd May 2022.
(Advent of Ocean) Covenant of Light Tarmiel
(Advent of Ocean) Covenant of Light Tarmiel is a super high burst damage dealer unit and is classified as an SSR grade hero. His 1st skill Piercing Spout does Flood damage which means he will deal more damage the more HP% he has. This skill requires him to move faster so he doesn’t get targeted and takes damage. His 2nd skill Holy Light not only provides an Attack buff to all allies but also a damage reduction buff for 1 turn which is stackable up to a maximum of 3 times. Lastly, his finisher skill Ocean is an AOE targeted damaging skill that targets all enemies and deals Detonate damage. Detonate damage means the damage will increase by 20% per skill orb on the enemy. Let’s study his skills a bit more in detail: –

Piercing Spout
Rank 1 – Inflicts Flood damage equal to 200% of Attack on one enemy.
Rank 2 – Inflicts Flood damage equal to 300% of Attack on one enemy.
Rank 3 – Inflicts Flood damage equal to 500% of Attack on one enemy.

Holy Light
Rank 1: For 1 turn(s), increases Attack of all allies by 15%, applies a buff that decreases damage taken from all enemies by 5% for 1 turn after taking damage Repeatable up to 3 times.
Rank 2: For 2 turn(s), increases Attack of all allies by 20%, applies a buff that decreases damage taken from all enemies by 7% for 1 turn after taking damage Repeatable up to 3 times.
Rank 3: For 2 turn(s), increases Attack of all allies by 45%, applies a buff that decreases damage taken from all enemies by 10% for 1 turn after taking damage Repeatable up to 3 times.

Ocean (Ultimate Move)
Inflicts Detonate damage equal to 420% of Attack on all enemies.
His Association effects can be unlocked by pairing him with Boar Hat Tavern Elizabeth (Resistance + 24.6%), Liones Elizabeth (Resistance + 24.6%), A New Adventure Elizabeth (Resistance + 24.6%), New Legend Elizabeth (Resistance + 24.6%), Protector of Dolls King (HP + 1440), The Seven Deadly Sins King (HP + 1440), and Disaster King (HP + 1440).
Final Boss Battle Event
Starting on 3rd May when the update drops on the global servers, players can experience the renewed Final Boss Battle event featuring Taizoo, Twigo, and Waillo. The whole event will last till 9th May 2022 and the ranks will be calculated on the same day as well. Players will be sent their rewards on 11th May 2022. Do remember that players can only participate in the Final Boss Battles up to 3 times per day. The level of difficulty is also their own choice. Of course, the higher the difficulty the higher the event currency and ranking points obtained. Players can further earn more rewards by exchanging their collected event currency in the Final Boss Battle Exchange Shop. Here are the various rewards and the amount of event currency required to redeem them:
- SSR Evolution Pendant x 1 (60 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 3 times)
- Super Awakening Coins x 1 (20 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 5 times)
- Equipment Engraving Stone x 1 (12 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 5 times)
- Hammer of Vaizel x 1 (4 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 5 times)
- Awakening Stone x 1 (2 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 10 times)
- The water of Life x 1 (6 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 5 times)
- Demon’s Blood x 1 (6 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 5 times)
- Anvil x 5 (3 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 20 times)
- UR Treasure Chest x 1 (12 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 20 times)
- Red Demon’s Horn x 4 (2 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 15 times)
- Gray Demon’s Wing x 4 (2 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 15 times)
- Demonic Beast Howlex’s Ear x 4 (2 Final Boss Battle event currency) (Max Redeemable – 15 times)
Other rewards include your Ranking rewards which will be given to you through your in-game mailbox after the ranking period has ended. Keep in mind that your best score in the Final Boss Battle will be counted when deciding the rankings. Also, the rewards are cumulative which means if you score in the top 1%, you will also get all the rewards below your rankings in addition to your current ranking bracket rewards. The rewards and the ranking brackets are:
- Top 100% – SSR Evolution Pendant x 1, Diamonds x 5
- Top 70% – Water of Life x 3, Demon’s Blood x 3
- Top 50% – Anvil x 100, Diamonds x 30
- Top 30% – Equipment Engraving Stone x 10, Hammer of Vaizel x 10
More rewards can be earned depending on your accumulated total score while fighting the Final Boss Battle. The rewards are as follows:
- 3000 Points Accumulated – UR Treasure Chests x 5
- 5000 Points Accumulated – SSR Evolution Pendant x 1
- 10000 Points Accumulated – Anvil x 100
- 20000 Points Accumulated – Awakening Stone x 10
- 30000 Points Accumulated – Super Awakening Coin x 5
Masked Commotion – Battle Event
The Battle event is going to be a straightforward event where players can fight the Blue Hunter Slater boss daily to earn rewards. Players can get rewards when they clear each difficulty level for the first time. There exists a limit of 5 entries per day to fight in the Battle event. The difficulties and the first-time clear rewards are as follows:
- Normal 1 Difficulty – SSR Treasure Chest x 1
- Normal 2 Difficulty – SSR Treasure Chest x 1
- Hard 1 Difficulty – SSR Treasure Chest x 2
- Hard 2 Difficulty – SSR Treasure Chest x 2
- Extreme Difficulty – SSR Treasure Chest x 3
