Whiteout Survival: Frostdragon Tyrant Event Update
Whiteout Survival is a thematic survival adventure game that keeps you on your toes at all times! The month of September has been quite happening for the game, especially with the release of one of the most hyped events in the game. Titled “The Frostdragon Tyrant,” this limited-time event lasts only for a short duration of time but offers generous rewards, including the rare commodity Dawn Honor achievements. This guide will help players prepare for the event on top of getting to know about the different event mechanics. Let’s begin!
What is Frostdragon Tyrant?
Speaking strictly based on the storyline, the ancient realms of the winter-clad Frostdragon Empire are what made the foundation of this event. It occurs on a monthly basis and is Alliance-based. Hence, only players who are part of an Alliance will be eligible to participate. The ultimate goal of the event is to find the ruins of the empire and unearth the buried treasures as rewards.
The Frostdragon Tyrant is a powerful raid boss with multiple phases that require a mix of strategy and brute force to defeat. The event typically runs for a few days, giving players time to organize, strategize, and attempt multiple runs if necessary. The Frostdragon has various attack patterns, resistances, and weaknesses, and defeating it requires not only individual solid performance but also cohesive teamwork. To run down the event, here’s a quick timeline:
- Alliance Sign-up: Monday to Tuesday (23rd September – 24th September)
- Combatant Dispatch: Wednesday to Thursday (25th September – 26th September)
- Eve of Battle: Friday to Sunday (27th September – 28th September)
- Battlefield: Sunday (29th September)
- Frostdragon Capital Battle: Sunday (29th September)
- Rearmament Phase: Monday to Tuesday (30th September – 31st September)
- Tyrant’s Gift: After Tuesday (After 31st September)
Frostdragon Tyrant: Items Breakdown
Here is a core breakdown of the important event-related items:
Dragonmark: Dragonmarks can be obtained by completing Frostwind Journey quests. They can be used in Tyrant Prediction and redeemed for things in the Prediction Shop.
Scaled Crystals: You can get Scaled Crystals by completing Frostwind Journey objectives or purchasing packs. These crystals can be used to redeem products from Dragonborn’s Truck.
Frostdragon Tyrant Phase 1: Signing Up
All Alliances can sign up. However, only a small number of the top-ranking alliances in each Zone will be eligible for enlisting after the sign-up process. The number of alliances contending for admittance into the Frostdragon Battlefield is determined by the number of States assigned to that Zone—more States equals more opportunities. Just a heads up, the sign-ups for the event begin on 23rd September 2024. We would suggest referring to the event page for more detailed numbers. Just keep the following things in mind to determine whether you’re eligible to take part in this event:
- Alliance Eligibility: Your alliance needs to fulfill the basic event requirements in order to be eligible for participation. Also, ensure that you are part of an active alliance that signs up for the event.
- Join an Alliance: Join an Alliance before the sign-up phase ends, or you will not be able to participate in the future.
- Combatant Status: Designate yourself as a combatant in alliance to ensure participation.
- Alliance Leadership: Remember that R4/R5 members of your alliance can remove your combatant status, so maintain open contact with your leadership.
Frostdragon Tyrant Phase 2: Champion’s Eve
This phase occurs before the official fight begins. A phase preview will be posted on Tuesday, and the phase will last from Wednesday to Saturday till 24:00. During this phase, you can collect Chief Personal Preparation Points by participating in various activities, and once you achieve a particular point level, you will be awarded a Chief Chest. Each chest also grants Alliance Preparation Points to alliance members. These points persist even after you leave the alliance. Reaching Alliance Preparation Point milestones earns members an exclusive Frostdragon Battlefield benefit.
Frostdragon Tyrant Phase 3: Battle Countdown
This is the actual preparation phase and remains active for 2 days (from 25th September to 26th September). Here are some amazing tips to help you get prepared for the upcoming Frostdragon Tyrant event:
- Choosing the Best Heroes – Choose your best heroes and make sure they’re properly leveled up. Heroes with strong AoE attacks, healing, or buffs will be more valuable in this event. If possible, focus on heroes that deal increased damage to dragons or frost-type enemies, as some may have elemental advantages or special skills suited for this event.
- Strategize Effectively – Strong units are essential to deal maximum damage to the Frostdragon. Make sure your primary troops are upgraded and that their equipment is optimized for battle. Units that can resist frost attacks or avoid debuffs will last longer, making them crucial for the longer phases of the fight.
Frostdragon Tyrant Phase 4: Battle
If you’re unsure what the actual battle mechanics will look kike, do not fret, as you are sharing the boat with many other players who only have a vague description of the event. Here’s all the information we have on the battle so far:
- Members of the first alliance to occupy the Capital will get the First Occupancy Reward. Personal occupation time accrues solely to the rally commander and not to other rally members.
- The Capital is supported by four Spires, which can be occupied in alternating 30-minute intervals (30 minutes of battle time followed by 30 minutes of protected mode). The alliance with the longest occupation will earn a special bonus (lasting 30 minutes).
- Entering the battlefield necessitates no reconnaissance or marching units, no burning barricades, and no Embassy reinforcements.
- During the event, each chief will use their troops, which have infinite Infirmary capacity but normal resource and time consumption, to treat the injured.
- After fleeing the battlefield, infirmary capacity will return to normal. Injured troops who surpass the capacity will stay in the infirmary, but any newly badly injured troops will die instantly, with some reserves joining the Enlistment Office.
- On the battlefield, you can assault any chief except your alliance members. Troops may be badly damaged or killed when fighting other chiefs on the battlefield, however attacking the Capital and Spires will only result in injured troops.
- Each player is allowed one squad per Capital/Spire combat at a time. If there is already a garrison in the Capital/Spire, additional troops can be sent there.
- Players are allowed to leave the Frostdragon battlefield at any time, but re-entry takes 10 minutes.
Players can enjoy Whiteout Survival on PC or laptop with BlueStacks, taking advantage of full keyboard and mouse support. Enhance your gameplay further with redeem codes, unlocking exclusive rewards, and bonuses to maximize your in-game progress.
