Capturing many territories in brutal ways, the invaders have raised significant forces of their own. Build your own army and serve the countrymen to get their freedom and rights back! In this beginner’s guide, we will be explaining about all the basic gameplay systems set in place to empower your journey. We have also shared some core tips in each section for players to progress efficiently.
Fortifying your Base and Upgrading Buildings
At its core, Ace Division-Mecha provides a robust base-building experience wherein players can construct different types of buildings, each playing a massive role in day-to-day operations. Players can also upgrade the buildings, provided that they meet the precursor requirements and have ample amounts of resources. We will study more about them in a different section of this guide. For starters, you should be aware that buildings in Ace Division-Mecha are divided into 3 categories – Economy, Military, and Decorative.
As the names imply, each type of building serves an important purpose in your overall journey to unit the continent. Economic buildings are important as they serve as the backbone for your resource economy. These buildings are used to produce important resources that help you upgrade walls, troops, soldiers, heroes, and other types of buildings. Ensure that you focus on upgrading economy buildings first and foremost. These buildings consist of Smelter, Quantum Center, Oil Refinery, Research Center, Shop, Noticeboard, Black Market, Rare Earth Factory, Nuclear Energy Plant, Material Warehouse, Building Company, The Hanging Garden, and Fate Slab.
Military buildings are important as they serve you sacrificial blood that will die in honor of the country fighting the invaders. These buildings are used to produce different types of troops that help you in combat at all times. Not only that, but they also help you upgrade your weapons technology and develop new types of weapons in your arsenal for difficult times. These buildings consist of Armored Vehicle Factory, Repair Shed, Alliance Rally Station, Tank Factory, Helicopter Factory, Missile Vehicle Factory, Radar Station, Alliance Center, and Mecha Armory.
Decorative buildings are not as important to build if you’re a free-to-play player since these give out no resources or aid you in combat. Their only purpose is to beautify the surroundings and make your kingdom more appealing. We would recommend investing in these buildings later down the line. These buildings consist of Dirt Road, Asphalt Road, Sid tree, Supply chest, Container, Temp Repair Station, Street Lamp, Military Searchlight, Sealed Jar, Solar Panels, and more.
Understanding the Combat Mechanics
Combat is something that you will be constantly engaging yourself in Ace Division-Mecha. No land is conquered without some resistance, and the same holds true for your enemies. To simplify, the combat mechanics are different if you’re attacking or when you’re defending. It is a mix of real-time strategy and tower-defense games.
When you attack an opposing base or play Tower Defense, you will encounter a variety of battle scenarios. In the previous fighting method, you needed to first build a powerful unit formation. A troop formation requires a hero to lead the charge on top of several units. There are several types of units, including human infantry, helicopters, tanks, missile vehicles, and nuclear vehicles. You can train each of these armies in the structures specified in the previous section.
When you select a soldier, the combat begins automatically, as they march towards the target spot. Players will receive the battle report via their in-game mail. Tower-defense engagements are more hands-on. You must protect your area against invasion with various sorts of defensive machines and turrets.
There are several levels, and with each level, the gameplay becomes more difficult and elaborated. Initially, you only have level 1 turrets that blast down opposing tanks as they approach. You can combine the same level turrets to create a higher-level turret with increased firepower and attack speed.
Chapter Missions and Quests
There are multiple quests for players to interact and fulfill in Ace Division-Mecha. Completing these quests not only provides you with essential resources but also widens the perspective of the game from the story point of view. Players will be able to unlock new content as they advance through the chapter quests. Many of these quests are simple to complete and often the only challenging part is to wait while the buildings get upgraded.
For ease of navigation, the game employs the feature to simply click on a quest and it will take you to the necessary location. Partaking in quests can be a great way to learn more about the game functions and familiarizing yourself with combat scenarios. Of course, no quest will leave you unrewarded as they are a great way to get your hands on more Gold, hero shards, and Darkium Chips.
Heroes
Heroes are the primary combatants that will lead the charge in offensive situations. Heroes are divided into multiple rarities, with the highest ones being Legendary and the lowest one being Rare. A synergized combination of different types of heroes is useful to tackle tricky situations. Some heroes are good at sieging while others are good for leading charge. Players can recruit more heroes via the innate gacha system called “Quantum Center”.
Much like any other mobile RPG, players can upgrade heroes as well to give them enhanced base stats and unlock new abilities. Depending on the situation, each hero has a separate set of abilities for adventure mode and expedition mode. We would recommend checking out a thorough tier list that ranks the strongest heroes in Ace Division-Mecha.
