AFK Journey is a visually stunning idle RPG developed by Farlight Games, the creators of AFK Arena. This game brings an open-world twist to the beloved AFK formula, featuring strategic battles, immersive storytelling, and stunning hand-painted visuals. The game consistently releases new heroes to diversify team-building strategies (Best Teams Guide) and shake up the PvP meta. While new heroes are great, players are often left confused as to which heroes are actually strong. Do not worry, as this tier list will solve all your queries. We have compiled a list of the strongest heroes in the current meta, usable in both PvE and PvP game modes. Check them out below!

S Tier Heroes

Let’s take a look at all of the heroes in this tier:

Harak

Harak is a legendary grade hero from the Hypogean faction that is classified as a Warrior in-game. His ultimate ability Vicious Bite states that Harak launches a devastating attack, striking an adversary ten times, each causing 60% + 10% damage.  Each attack also causes additional damage equal to 6% of the enemy’s lost HP, up to 120% of Harak’s ATK.  The final hit inflicts 200% + 20% damage and knocks the adversary down.  Harak remains unaffected while using this skill, and the adversary is prevented from regenerating HP for 6 seconds, forcing them to lose 40% of their HP per second.

Dionel

Dionel is a legendary grade hero from the Celestial faction that is classified as a Marksman in-game. His ultimate ability Dawn Light states that Dionel flies into the air and cannot be targeted for 6 seconds, during which time he assaults the region with the most enemies with sword shock, delivering 170% damage to all around enemies.  The final hit of sword shock knocks the enemy up and increases the damage dealt by 250%.

Talene

Talene is a legendary grade hero from the Celestial faction that is classified as a Mage in-game. Her ultimate ability Divine Conflagration states that Talene flies to a selected tile in the center of the battlefield, where she uses 12.5% of her maximum HP and 250 Energy every second to shoot a 5-tile flame that deals 150% + 20% damage and an additional 170% + 1% of her lost HP to opponents within range.  The additional damage is distributed across all hit foes. Talene can use this skill even if she is out of energy, but the HP consumed per second will rise by 20%.  This skill ends when there are no adversaries in range.

Phraesto

Phraesto is a legendary grade hero from the Hypogean faction that is classified as a Tank in-game. His ultimate ability Futile Echo has an active and passive part. The passive part states that Phraesto spends 12% of his maximum HP to summon an identical Illusion during the preparation stage.  This Illusion inherits Phraesto’s stats and can use all of his talents.  When Phraesto and his Illusion are placed in the same row, they both gain a 30% damage reduction benefit that lasts until one of them is defeated. The active part states that Phraesto inflicts 200% + 20% damage on opponents within two tiles and recovers 160% + 15% HP for each enemy hit.

Lily May

Lily May is a legendary grade hero from the Wilder faction that is classified as a Rogue in-game. Her ultimate ability Tempest Shot has both an active and passive part. The passive part states that Lily May enters a Defensive State at the commencement of a battle.  When a non-summoned enemy uses their Ultimate, Lily May becomes unaffected.  She then leaps over them, firing a Quillbolt that deals 200% damage, interrupts their Ultimate, and causes them to lose 700 Energy.  After that, she leaves the Defensive and Unaffected States.  This talent cannot interrupt boss foes, but it can enhance Lily May’s damage to them by 400%.

The active part of her ability states that Lily May can enter Defensive State and target all non-summoned adversaries or a single one.  If she is defending against them all, she will target the first one to use their Ultimate.  When defending against a specific opponent, she only targets them when they use Ultimate.  Once this adversary becomes untargetable for more than 3 seconds or is defeated.  Lil May switches to defending against everyone.

A Tier Heroes

Let’s take a look at all of the heroes in this tier:

Bonnie

Bonnie is an epic grade hero from the Graveborn faction that is classified as a Marksman in-game. Her ultimate ability Deathmark Arrow states that Bonnie launches magical arrows, inflicting 180% damage on each opponent twice.  The magic arrow deals 30% more damage to Aging foes and stuns them for 3 seconds.

Cryonaia

Cryonaia is a legendary grade hero from the Hypogean faction that is classified as a Mage in-game. Her ultimate ability Frostvell Domain states that Cryonaia summons the domain of Eternal Winter, trapping up to three foes and their summons inside for 12 seconds, cutting them off from the rest of the battlefield.  The talent emphasizes the opponent heroes who have dealt the most cumulative damage.  In boss encounters, Cryonala traps all adversaries in Eternal Winter’s dominion.

When Cryonaia uses her Ultimate, she obtains a Frost Shield for the duration of Eternal Winter, allowing her to absorb up to 1400% + 250% damage.  Cryonaia becomes immune to control effects while the shield is active, and her Haste and ATK increase by 60% each.  The shield also prevents Cryonala from being defeated. Eternal Winter will end early if all trapped adversaries are defeated or the Frost Shield is destroyed.

Elijah and Lailah

Elijah and Lailah is a legendary grade hero from the Celestial faction that is classified as a Support in-game. Her ultimate ability Starlight Waltz has both an active and passive part. The passive part states that Elijah and Lailah fight independently in battle, but they have the same HP and energy pool. Their maximum HP has increased by 50%. The active part states that Elijah and Lailah do an exciting pair dance, giving all allies a 60 + 4 Haste bonus for 7s. During the dance, comrades bonded by Stellar Bond remain unaffected. The skill can be used as long as Elijah can utilize Ultimate.

Koko

Koko is an epic grade hero from the Mauler faction that is classified as a Support in-game. Her ultimate ability Full Energy states that Koko motivates herself and all allies, granting them a 45% DMG reduction for 12s.  When the skill’s duration finishes, the reduced damage will be recorded and settled as actual damage.  When the talent activates, friends gain 30 Life Drain and 10% ATK.  While active, the effect cannot be removed, preventing Koko from recasting the skill.

Mikola

Mikola is a legendary grade hero from the Mauler faction that is classified as a Support in-game. Her ultimate ability Dauntless Hymn states that Mikola creates a 2-tile Courage Sphere that follows her about, raising Haste by 40 and Ranged DEF by 10 for all allies within range, while also improving her own Haste by 30 and Ranged DEF by 10.  When Mikola deals total damage equal to 300% of her initial ATK while Courage Sphere is active, a Healing Wave appears, restoring 80% health to all allies within range.  Courage Sphere lasts for 10 seconds.

B Tier Heroes

Odie

Odie is an epic grade hero from the Mauler faction that is classified as a Marksman in-game. His ultimate ability Corroside Dart states that Odie fires a Corrosive Dart, inflicting 150% damage and Dart Poison on an adversary.  The poisoned target will take 30% damage every second until defeated.  Dart Poison cannot be removed.

Antandra

Antandra is an epic grade hero from the Mauler faction that is classified as a Tank in-game. Her ultimate ability Shield Assault states that Antandra raises her shield and teases foes within two tiles for ls, decreasing her damage taken by 60% and making her Unaffected for 5 seconds.  After that, she raises the shield to stun neighboring enemies for 2 seconds before swinging the spear, causing 400% damage and knocking them down while recovering 20% HP.  With each opponent hit, she gains an additional 8% health.

Berial

Berial is a legendary grade hero from the Hypogean faction that is classified as a Rogue in-game. His ultimate ability Scared Swamp states that Berial flies beneath the adversary, hiding in their shadow and doing 36% damage every 0.25s while absorbing 15 Energy and lasting up to 5 seconds.  Berial is invincible during the effect.  Then he leaps out of the shadow, causing 320% damage to nearby opponents and terrifying them for 4 seconds.
