• Marauder – Heroes of this faction will inflict 30% extra damage and increase hits by 15% against Ranger faction enemies. Neutral against all other factions.

Having a stacked group of high level heroes will make it only that much easier to progress in the story mode. After reaching a certain level threshold, you will need to ascend your character to give them more levels. 

You can also choose to equip a strong set of gears to your heroes for some additive stats. These stats are only a fraction of what your base stats provide but can be quite helpful in combat. Equipment also comes in different rarities and tiers. Getting high level equipment can be a pain in the early game but you will eventually get them from farming high level dungeons. Remember, games like Ashen Valkyries are not meant to be completed in a single day but over the long course of years. It will take time for you to get stronger, so you need to have patience.
