With that being said, let’s go ahead and talk about the classes in Demon Hunter: Rebirth.
The Different Class Choices in Demon Hunter: Rebirth
As soon as you start a new game, you’ll be prompted to choose your starter class. Specifically, there are four classes to choose from, which while seemingly different, are actually only two different classes. In other words, both the Necro Mage and the Phantom Mage are the same class, but in different genders; and the same applies for the Swordman and the Blademaster classes:
- Necro Mage and Swordman: Type “A” body
- Phantom Mage and Blademaster: Tybe “B” body
In this sense, there are only two classes available in this game on release, which is quite low compared to other games. Fortunately, both of these classes are quite different and provide a unique gameplay style, which means that there’s still some variety to be had.
Now that we got this key point out of the way, the two classes available in Demon Hunter: Rebirth are the following:
-
Mage
This spellcaster class specializes in long-range attacks by wielding the power of the elements and unleashing them upon their foes. As such, they offer strong AoE capabilities, as well as unparalleled ranged destruction, which they can use from afar. However, the main drawback of this class is that they’re quite weak in close combat, and might even be overwhelmed if the players let themselves be surrounded by opponents.
Nevertheless, despite their weak defenses, the Mage has fantastic DPS and is awesome to play, especially if you love casters in these types of games.
-
Swordman
While the Mage is all about flinging spells, the Swordman is more about getting up close and personal and destroying their enemies with sheer martial might. As such, this class boasts high physical damage and great defenses, allowing them to jump straight into the fray without much concern. This focus on defense makes the class ideal for beginners, as they rarely suffer severely from making mistakes in combat.
The Swordman is pretty much the cookie cutter warrior class in Demon Hunter: Rebirth, and we strongly recommend it if you’re new to the game, as its gameplay style is quite basic and allows for a lot of user error.
In the end, your class choice here will always boil down to personal preference, as both of them are quite capable of dealing with the challenges in the game. However, if you want to go for the most basic gameplay, definitely choose either the Swordman or the Blademaster.
