Echoes of Eternity Beginners Guide: Start your Adventures the Best Way Possible
Echoes of Eternity is a visually stunning MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that harbors intricate game mechanisms. While the game is thrilling and full of constant action, there are several mechanics that might be confusing for new players to get a hang of, especially if they’ve never played similar mobile games. Do not fret, as this beginners guide will help you start your adventures in the best way possible. Let’s proceed.
Understanding the Class System
Much like any other MMORPG, a thorough class system is set in place that all players must go through. Echoes of Eternity features 4 different and unique classes to choose from. At the beginning of the game, all players are required to choose 1 out of the 4 given classes. Keep in mind, once a class is chosen, it cannot be changed until you reset the account or create a new one. Hence, ensure you feel comfortable playing with the chosen class as it will remain permanent. The classes are as follows:
- Wanderer – Wanderers are a melee-ranged class that exude charisma. These precise warriors have a high defensive stat, enabling them to tank hits for days. In other games, they would make perfect tanks. This is also the recommended class pick for any beginner as it does not require too much customization.
- Luthier – The perfect healer class for players who love to support their allies from the backlines. The only potential downside of this class is that it lacks damage and survivability. Users of this class will need to constantly keep their guards in case of any assassination attempts.
- Reaper – The Reaper is a melee-ranged behemoth that deals a good amount of damage. But the most outstanding part of their kit remains to be the crowd control they bring with their active and passive abilities. Players choosing this class will have no problem in dealing with the PvE game modes.
- Fencer – The fencer class is highly optimized to deal tons of damage without any setbacks. However, they suffer from the same fate as a Luthier in that they do not have enough defensive stats to help them survive long. Players choosing this class will need to be thorough in their dealings, and get up close against their enemies since Fencers are melee-ranged.
Understanding the Combat Mechanics
Echoes of Eternity strictly follow an action-oriented combat system wherein the player needs to manually control their character and perform the abilities. The camera angles need to be constantly configured by the player in the direction they want to attack and move. Coming to the controls, they are quite fluid but they are not customizable. On the bottom right-hand side of the screen, you should see a virtual movement wheel that can be toggled around to control your character. Just beside that button should be your active abilities, lined up together in a crescent-shaped arc.
In the center of the arc is the basic attack button. Players can tap it repeatedly to cast their character’s basic attacks and initiate combos. Below the basic attack button lies the Dash button that allows players to levitate in the air for a few seconds before falling down. This mechanic is interesting as it allows you to dodge attacks and avoid tricky situations. Players can tap the Dash button up to 5 times to increase the speed and distance of the flight before eventually falling back to the ground.
Questing System
A thorough questing system can be seen set in place when you first start your adventures. Players can view all the main quests and side quests on the top left-hand side of the main screen. Keep in mind, these quests can be completed either manually or automatically if you have the auto-quest option turned on. This helps players complete quests and make progress even when they are not actively playing the game. Many of the game’s quests are repetitive and require you to deliver assignments to different NPCs.
Questing is going to be an important part of your daily routine in Echoes of Eternity. Not only do they give out generous rewards such as experience and items but they also help you unlock more game modes. As you level up, your rating will also increase. Rating is a cumulative number assigned to all players and determines the overall strength of their account. It comprises your characters stats, abilities, gear, pets, mounts, title, and more. The higher the rating, the more powerful your account is.
Pets
It would get lonely for a solo adventurer to venture through tough quests alone. Luckily, you can get yourself multiple Pets to accompany you in battles and provide you with all the help needed. Pets come in different rarities, and generally the higher the rarity, the stronger they are. Pets also contribute a ton to your overall ratings. Like any true RPG, players will have the option to upgrade their Pets as well. You can level them up, increase their star value, forge strong bongs with them, and revitalize to provide additional stat values. All of these tasks will help you get stronger in the long run.
Mounts
Echoes of Eternity features a vast open-world full of endless possibilities. Naturally, covering such vast distances on bare foot sounds absurd and that’s why the game has Mounts. These versatile creatures are gifted with mobility and can take players from one place to another in a jiffy. Each mount also has an individual rating assigned to them. Much like pets, mounts also come in different rarities. Some of the most sought-after one’s are quite difficult to unlock but they do provide a great deal of benefits.
Outside of helping you in transportation, many Mounts can be upgraded to further acquire passive abilities that benefit the player in combat. For example, the starter mount Spirit Deer unlocks Stable ability at Star 1 Tier 11. This ability helps the player mitigate any form of damage by 3%. Ensure you’re upgrading your collected Mounts at all times for combat advantages.
