In this article for Project Entropy, we will be presenting some of our personally observed and tested tips with the players at large who are starting their interstellar journey in this brand-new RTS! Keep in mind that these tips are mainly aimed towards the new players, and not for veterans due to limited knowledge being circulated around as the game is barely a week old. Players can explore the massive semi-open world of Project Entropy to discover more rewards as the game harbors an intuitive and interactive worldview with hidden perks lying around. Let’s get right to the tips!
Tip #1. Constructing and Upgrading Buildings
Being a city-builder RPG, Project Entropy has a lot of different bonuses to offer to players for constructing different buildings. Buildings are essentially an area that serves a purpose and aid the player on their journey. There are decoration items as well, but those are something that you will interact with later down the game after your early game progression is completed. Players can interact with the different buildings to perform certain tasks. For example, the Mobilization Center helps you train more troops in order to fight and fend off incoming attacks. Alternatively, they also help you in making up a formation of heroes and troops to attack enemies.
Buildings can further be upgraded in order to increase their efficiency. This process is going to consume a lot of resources, and have certain requirements. The requirements are going to be increasing exponentially as the base level increases. Make sure to keep upgrading your Command Center as well in order to unlock more upgrades for buildings.
Tip #2. Focusing on the Main Missions
Project Entropy has one of the best storylines, full of cinematic shots and short animations that depict the state of humanity in the year 2099 as they launch the last interstellar mission to find a new habitable planet. The game does a fairly good job of explaining to the new players the base gameplay systems that are in place via a thematic tutorial. However, there are a lot of game elements that are still going to be relatively unknown to players. These elements are further introduced to players by assigning them missions that come in expansive chapters.
A host of juicy rewards entail the players upon completion of these missions. Further, a huge reward also awaits upon completion of an entire chapter. These missions can reward you with resources such as Food, Metal, Gold, and more.
Tip #3. Having a Strong Formation
Project Entropy has one of the most intuitive combat systems in the game, where the players have little to no control over their characters inside the actual battle but have ample control over the formation they want to bring before the battle starts. The combat is played out in a grid-based arena divided into multiple squares, with the characters from either side attacking automatically based on AI (Artificial Intelligence). A good formation consists of a balanced team of heroes and vehicles. Each hero can be assigned a vehicle to fight. Synergy between the heroes and vehicles is extremely important in order to win more battles.
Tip #4. Constantly Exploring the World to Get More Resources
Apart from simply having multiple buildings that produce resources, Project Entropy also has an expansive open world that can be explored to accumulate more resources as well as find new land. Players can make use of rovers to explore and gain a vision of new areas of land. Players can then send in their RR2 robots to fetch multiple resources such as Iron, Gold, Solar material, and Food. Exploration allows players to take control and vision of more land, aiding to their resources and army requirements. A host of new NPC and foreign Grods can also be found that can be interacted with to take up new quests and gain additional rewards.
Tip #5. Constantly Upgrading your Heroes and Vehicles
There are multiple different heroes and vehicles in Project Entropy. Each of them can be upgraded to empower them further by enhancing their basic abilities and base stats. By base stats, we mean say Attack, HP, and Defense. In the end, the combat situation is more like a numbers game, with the team having the higher Combat Power having a higher chance of claiming victory over their opponent. Yes, strategy does play a huge factor but the core power of your heroes & vehicles also determines the outcome of the match.
Playing Project Entropy on a bigger screen of your PC with BlueStacks without worrying about battery drainage and smooth gameplay, is highly recommended.
