Epic Seven 6th Anniversary New and Returning Player Guide
Epic Seven is a 2D turn-based RPG with over 10 million downloads worldwide. The developers at Smilegate have released an elaborate Epic Dash event as part of the game’s 6th anniversary celebrations, rewarding players with tons of freebies and summons. This new player guide aims to help new and returning players deal with the game’s different content and prepare their account for greater heights. The article is going to be more tailored towards the 6th anniversary rewards and buffs that consistently help new players get stronger quite easily. Let’s begin!
Starting Strong with Selective Summons
As you start your journey in the land of Orbis, perhaps one of the most important decisions that you will be tasked with is to do your season 1 selective summons. These are essentially unlimited 10-pulls that guarantee at least 1 5-star hero and/or 5-star artifact. As a new player, this choice is crucial as it will shape the direction of your account. We would highly recommend going for the Ice 5-star hero Sigret as the top choice for any new player. She’s an amazing DPS unit that can help players plough through the initial Wyvern hunt stages. The Wyvern hunt is a gear hunt that gives out Speed Set and Critical Set equipment.
Focus on the Hero’s Path
The Hero’s Path is a rewarding event that occurs for players only 1 time. This event consists of different stages referring to the different story chapters. While many of the missions are easy in the beginning, they can get quite time consuming later on. Anyhow, the rewards obtained from these quests are lucrative and any new player should focus towards completing these quests. The rewards offered via the Hero’s Path include the likes of Gold, Transmit stones, covenant bookmarks, skystones, phantasms, molagora, and R/G/B 5-star heroes. Players can even get free copies of 5-star heroes Cermia and Vivian.
Build your Wyvern Team
The easiest way to progress in Epic Seven remains to be with high level equipment. The best hunt stage to farm gear remains to be Wyvern 13. Although the difficulty level is moderate, the new events and gears supplied to new/returning players have made the stage significantly easy to complete. All you need to know about are the different hunt mechanics associated with each boss. The Wyvern, for example, is fire elemental and countered by Ice elemental heroes. Ensure you’re landing enough debuffs on the boss to prevent it from attacking any other hero than your Tank. Yes, you will need a solid tank to absorb the Wyvern boss damage.
A good example of such tank can be General Purrgis (4-Star light elemental warrior), or the free 4-star Ice elemental Soul weaver Angelica. Both of these options are solid. Next, you will need constant debuffers and DPS heroes such as Sigret, Seaside Bellona, Karin, Mui, Crozet, etc.
Don’t Miss Out on the Free Summons
One of the highlights of the entire 6th anniversary remains to be ample free summons given out. Make sure you’re logging in daily and taking advantage of them to get your hands on potential new powerful heroes and artifacts. For a period of 10 days, all players will be given 11 free covenant summons on daily reset. Covenant summons are great since they also allow you to pick up rare moonlight heroes. A strong roster of heroes will help you build teams for PvP content such as Arena and Real-time Arena.
Do your Arena Fights
Arena is the premiere PvP game mode of Epic Seven. It features thematic turn-based fights against defenses of other players. Now, the battle does not happen in real-time and players only fight the enemies controlled by AI (Artificial Intelligence). Arena is the primary game mode that all players should be focusing to get access to more skystones, conquest points, and more. Each time you climb to a new rank, you will get tons of skystones as rewards. The initial levels are quite easy and you will be fighting mostly bots as enemies. Climb to at least the Gold rank in the initial days. This feat should be easily doable with the free Level 85 gear sets all players get for free as part of the 6th anniversary rewards.
Participate in Events
There are a ton of events running all the time in live-service games like Epic Seven. Ensure that you’re up for the task and participating in them each day. The 6th anniversary events are also boosted to help new players get access to more rewards in a shorter period of time. The MolaGora Challenge and Hunt Expert Challenge are permanent events that give out 1-time rewards for all players. These rewards are exclusively 5-star heroes that excel in each of the 3 primary hunt dungeons:
- Cermia (Fire elemental Warrior) – Best suited for Golem hunt teams.
- Sigret (Ice elemental Warrior) – Best suited for Wyvern hunt teams.
- Vivian (Earth elemental Mage) – Best suited for Banshee hunt teams.
Join a Guild
Joining a Guild should be your #1 priority after you complete Episode 1 of the main storyline. A guild not only harbors like-minded players that you can bond with but also offers a variety of different game modes that you can venture together for generous rewards. Perhaps the most significant content is Guild Wars that starts every 2nd day of the week. Your guild leader will assign the attacking and defending members to each individual guild tower. Players can get access to exclusive Mystic Medals as part of the clearance rewards. Even if you do not win the war, you will still get some Mystic Medals for participation.
Players can enjoy Epic Seven even more on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop with keyboard and mouse via BlueStacks for an elevated gameplay experience.
