Understanding the Gameplay Mechanics

Fake Island: Demolish! is a simple game that only wants one thing from players – as much destruction as possible! Now, there are 2 different game modes that you can choose to play with – Career mode or Fake Island. In the former mode, players can access different levels of different chapters, each culminating with a final level that features a famous building from around the world. In the beginning, you will most likely be wasting time destroying lighthouses and trucks but as you progress in the career mode, you will have access to some of the premium content. 

If you want to directly skip the wait and destroy famous buildings, then you can enjoy the Fake Island game mode. Albeit, you will need to use Gems to unlock these special buildings. 

The core gameplay mechanic revolves around the red, handy explosives we all love and call “Dynamites”. Players will be given a brief tutorial on how they can use them to their advantages. Placing the Dynamites is a choice but the locations where you can place them are fixed. At a given time, you will have access to only a limited number of dynamites. Naturally, you can gain more by either viewing advertisements or purchasing packs but we will be ignoring that for the sake of fairness. Players need to fulfill the objectives of the stage (generally demanding more destruction) within the number of dynamites given to them. 

Use the Environment to Your Advantage

Each island and structure are surrounded by environmental elements like cliffs, bodies of water, or neighboring buildings. Use these to maximize your demolition efforts:

• Topple Structures: If a building is near a cliff, aim to topple it over the edge for additional destruction.
• Protect Certain Areas: Some levels may require you to avoid damaging specific areas or objects. Plan your explosions to direct debris away from these protected zones.

Trial and Error

Trial and error is key to achieving victory in games like Fake Island: Demolish!. Even when you think the odds are stacked up against you, there’s always a way out! You need to rinse and repeat the levels multiple times to crack their code. Here are some of our tips:

• Observe the Outcome: After each attempt, carefully observe how the structure collapses and which areas are left intact. Use this information to adjust your strategy.
• Test Explosive Types and Placements: Try different combinations of explosives and placements to see which works best for each structure.
• Use the Undo Feature: Many levels offer an undo option, allowing you to reset your last move. This is helpful for testing placements without having to restart the entire level.

Manage your Resources

In many levels, you’ll have a limited number of explosives or a budget that restricts your options. Efficient resource management is crucial if you want to progress efficiently. It’s recommended to use explosives on the most vulnerable or strategic parts of the structure first. Some levels offer bonuses or power-ups that provide extra explosives or enhance the damage. Make sure to collect these whenever possible. Don’t place explosives randomly or on parts of the structure that won’t significantly contribute to the overall collapse. 

Analyse Structures and Fulfill Objectives

Each level can be completed with a rating, often measured in stars. Achieving three stars typically requires meeting the objectives with a high degree of efficiency, using fewer explosives, or causing maximum destruction. Always aim for three stars to maximize rewards and challenge yourself to improve. 

As a beginner, concentrate on finishing the early levels to learn the game’s basics. These early levels are simpler and frequently include tips on how to place explosives efficiently. Use these levels to test out different sorts of explosives, placements, and techniques. Pay attention to how structures collapse, how explosives impact certain materials, and which placements result in the most efficient devastation.
