The brand-new reload game mode in Fortnite Mobile offers a more closely bound fighting experience as 40 players group together on a smaller map to survive till the last. Fortnite’s Reload mode offers a fresh twist on the classic Battle Royale experience, emphasizing teamwork and strategic play. In this mode, as long as one member of your squad remains alive, eliminated players can respawn after a countdown, allowing for continuous engagement and opportunities to turn the tide of battle. In this guide, we will be explaining all the details pertaining to this new mode and seeing how it differs from the usual battle royale (BR) mode. Let’s begin!

What is Fortnite Reload?

Fortnite Reload is a fast-paced, squad-based Battle Royale mode where eliminated players can respawn as long as at least one teammate remains alive. The mode features a smaller map with classic Fortnite locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row, making matches more intense and action-packed. This game mode is exceptionally fast, fully equipped with advanced loot and gear to make the matches go even faster. It is well-received by the majority of the players in the community, thanks to its fast-paced gameplay mechanics and matchmaking criteria.

How Does Fortnite Reload Differ from other game modes?

Fortnite Reload is a new Battle Royale game mode with 40 players on a new, much smaller Fortnite Reload exclusive map. This mode allows you to play with either the conventional Battle Royale settings or Zero Build, so there’s something for everyone, and as always, the last squad standing wins! Victory Crowns are available in Fortnite Reload and behave exactly like the usual Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

Everything you Need to Know about Fortnite Reload

What makes this game mode different from others is the smaller map size, and the ability to respawn even after death as long as a single teammate from your squad is still alive. Once you die, you don’t exit from the game, instead you are given a reboot timer. But, if your entire squad is wiped out, then you won’t be able to respawn (or reboot in official terms).

The reboot timers start as soon as you die, or you can choose to be revived by a teammate as long as they are in a safe position to do so. While the latter method is faster, the reboot timer method also works and is a safer method. The reboot timers also have a separate mechanism according to which they work. The timers start from 30 seconds but increase to 40 seconds or more, depending on how much you die. Your teammates can also hamper these timers in the following ways:

  • Teammate kills an enemy – 2 second decrease in reboot timer
  • Teammate eliminates an enemy – 4 second decrease in reboot timer
  • Teammate wipes an entire enemy squad – 10 second decrease in reboot timer

If you’ve been rebooted, you’ll be given a standard assault rifle and, if you’re playing Build, 100 wood.  However, in addition to the inventory you’ve collected, you’ll find medium and light ammo, shotgun shells, Small Shield potions, and 50 of each building material.  The building material drop applies exclusively to Build.

Fortnite Reload Map and Locations

The main factor that differentiates the reload game mode from others is that the map seen in this game mode is abnormally smaller than the rest, promoting more fights between squads. The map offers no vehicles as there is little to no need of travelling. On top of it, you can find many unvaulted weapons lying on the ground, ready to pick up and fight! The locations on the map are as follows:

Fortnite Reload Quests and Rewards

Naturally, the game mode also has a host of separate quests that players can embark on to gain additional experience for their account as well as unlock some spicy rewards. Each quest completion grants you 20,000 EXP. Further, depending on the amount of quests you complete, additional rewards can be reaped such as:
