Welt Active and Passive Skills
Welt is a 5-Star Imaginary elemental character that is following the Path of Nihility. Welt is one of the best debuffers in the game, as he deals consistent damage to enemies when they take their turns. Sadly, he isn’t suitable to be the main DPS in your team like a Seele or Himeko but he can definitely be a great sub-DPS ally. Further, Welt is one of the few characters that can afflict all enemies with a Slow debuff. This plays out as a great debuff in later stages of the game when enemies have a very high Attack Speed. Perhaps the biggest source of extra damage amplification comes from Welt, that can even superimpose with the Defense reduction debuff. Overall, Welt is just a great support damage dealer that does it all.
Players can recruit Welt through getting lucky on the Normal Warp Banner or the Starter Warp Banner as of now. Welt’s official in-game lore states as follows – “The wise and sophisticated former Anti-Entropy Sovereign who inherits the name of the world — Welt. He has saved Earth from annihilation time and time again. After the calamity ended, the heavy burden ordained by fate to Welt had been removed for a time, and he became an animation storyboard artist. However, after the conspiracy with St. Fountain came to a close, Welt had no choice but to venture with the initiator of the incident to the other side of the space portal. Perhaps even he didn’t expect the new journey and companions that awaited him.”
Here is a list of Welt’s skills: –
Gravity Suppression (Basic Ability)
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 50/100/110% of Welt’s ATK to a single enemy.
Edge of the Void (Active Ability)
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 36/72/79% of Welt’s ATK to a single enemy and further deals DMG 2 extra times, with each time dealing Imaginary DMG equal to 36/72/79% of Welt’s ATK to a random enemy. On hit, there is a 65/75/77% base chance to reduce the enemy’s SPD by 10% for 2 turn(s).
Synthetic Black Hole (Ultimate Ability)
Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 90/150/162% of Welt’s ATK to all enemies, with a 100% base chance for enemies hit by this ability to be Imprisoned for 1 turn. Imprisoned enemies have their actions delayed by 32/40/42% and SPD reduced by 10%.
Time Distortion (Talent Ability)
When hitting an enemy that is already Slowed, Welt deals Additional Imaginary DMG equal to 30/60/66% of his ATK to the enemy.
Gravitational Imprisonment (Technique)
After using Welt’s Technique, create a dimension that lasts for 15 second(s). Enemies in this dimension have their Movement SPD reduced by 50%. After entering battle with enemies in the dimension, there is a 100% base chance to Imprison the enemies for 1 turn. Imprisoned enemies have their actions delayed by 20% and SPD reduced by 10%. Only 1 dimension created by allies can exist at the same time.
Welt’s Traces
Traces are like special abilities associated with a hero. The character needs to be ascended in order to maximize the use of their Traces. At different ascension, traces can be upgraded. While some are major upgrades that enhance the abilities themselves, others are minor traces that provide stat boosts. Traces are of the following types:

Welt Eidolon Bonuses
Players who have played Genshin Impact might be familiar with the Constellation system where the characters acquire different abilities when you feed their duplicate copies into them. Honkai: Star Rail has a similar system but it’s named “Eidolon” in the official in-game terminology. Whenever you summon a duplicate character in the Warp system, they will be converted into an Eidolon for the character. Eidolon can be enhanced up to 6 times at maximum. Welt Light Cones, Relic, and Planetary Ornament Recommendations
Welt is a Nihilist type Debuffer specialist that benefits from core stats such as Attack%, Effect Hit Rate%, Imaginary Damage, and Energy Regeneration Rate on Body, Feet, Planar Sphere, and Link Rope. We would highly recommend to build Welt with substats such as Imaginary damage, Effect Hit Rate, Speed, and Break.

Here are the Relic recommendations for Welt:

Here are the Planetary Ornament recommendations for Welt:
Pan-Galactic Commercial Enterprise (2-Set): Increases the wearer’s Effect Hit Rate by 10%. Meanwhile, the wearer’s ATK increases by an amount that is equal to 25% of the current Effect Hit Rate, up to a maximum of 25%.
Welt Team Building and Synergies
Welt is best suited to be used with allies that can let him accelerate his ability cycling along with some heavy damage dealers. Welt, by himself, does little to no damage. Hence, pairing him with good DPS characters increases his usability as a support debuffer. Let’s take a look at the different viable options to build a team around Welt.
Here are some recommended team formations for Welt:
- Seele + Welt + Asta + Bailu (Best Possible Team)
- Seele + Asta + Natasha + March 7th (Early Game Team)
- Dan Heng + Welt + Serval + Natasha (F2P Team)
