Learn all about Hyper Front Assault Rifles and choose the weapon that best suits your playstyle
Assault rifles are a very popular class of weapons in nearly every first-person shooter. It is natural for them to be presented amongst a long list of arms, as they can be the right choice for newcomers and veterans alike. The first reason for their popularity is due to the versatility of these weapons: thanks to their large magazines and quickfire rates, assault rifles can be used from close-quarters to medium-range combat without causing much trouble. The second advantage is that they are suited to different players, being used in various ways. If assault rifles are popular in FPS games, it is no different in Hyper Front, the ‘Valorant clone’ from NetEase that is in beta testing in Brazil, Canada, Japan, and Thailand.
At this moment, there are six assault rifles in Hyper Front beta testing: AK, M4A1, MK14, QBZ, SCAR, and FAL. If you are already playing this game by using a VPN or are just curious about how this game is working, this guide is for you. Here, we introduce all assault rifles available in Hyper Front and discuss their main attributes.
AK
Developed by the USSR in 1947, AK is one of the best-known assault rifles in history. At Hyper Front, this weapon has 30 bullets in its magazine, a good fire rate, and is a good rifle for those who enjoy firing from medium distances. If you fire from up to 50 meters with an AK, it deals 155 damage at the head, 40 at the body, and 32 at the legs. Beyond that range, the damage is reduced.
Although this rifle has good damage and a great firing rate, its recoil may trouble some players. This is why we recommend spending some time in the training room before bringing this weapon to the battlefield. Once you’ve mastered its recoil, there will be no barrier to this weapon. It can be bought with 3100 Star Coins.
M4A1
Also with 30 bullets in its magazine, the M4A1 has lower recoil than the AK, and fires quickly. On the other hand, its damage is lower and has a better performance when used from a maximum distance of 15 meters. When you do that, M4A1 deals 152 damage at the head, 38 at the body, and 32 at the legs. From 15 to 30 meters, the damage falls off: 139 at the head, 34 at the body, and 31 at the legs. It can be bought with 3100 Star Coins.
MK14
MK14 is a relatively slow-firing assault rifle that causes more damage than the others in its category. With 12 bullets in its magazine, this weapon inflicts 196 damage at the head, 66 at the body, and 50 at the legs. As its recoil can be very tricky, we suggest spending some time in the training room before using this rifle at the ranked mode.
QBZ
Developed in China, QBZ has balanced attributes, which makes this assault rifle a weapon that will not trouble newcomers. While shooting up to 50 meters, it deals 115 damage at the head, 31 at the body, and 29 at the legs. This weapon also has a friendly recoil that helps to maintain the weapon stability while firing all its 24 bullets at once. It can be bought with 2300 Star Coins.
SCAR
With 25 bullets in its magazine, SCAR is a powerful assault rifle that causes lots of damage, but also slows players’ movement when running. Compared to the others weapons from this guide, SCAR has a good recoil pattern and has a consistent fire rate, but only when shooting up to 30 meters from the target. While doing that, this weapon inflicts 160 damage points at the head, 40 at the body, and 34 at the legs. Beyond that distance, the damage will decrease.
FAL
FAL is an assault rifle developed during the Cold War. In Hyper Front, when shooting up to 30 meters, deals 125 damage at the head, 37 at the body, and 31 at the legs. Also, FAL has the benefit of not taking much time to recharge. If you choose this weapon to take your opponents down, it is also recommended to spend some time at the training ground, as FAL has a significant recoil. It can be bought with 2200 Star Coins.
