Hyper Front is a 5v5 first-person shooter game developed by NetEase that is in beta testing in four countries: Brazil, Thailand, Japan, and Canada. In this game, which is set in a futuristic scenario, players can choose from a variety of heroes and match the characters’ skills with their playstyle, a composition that allows a great range of possibilities when it comes to game tactics.

During the beta testing, participants can play a Bo14 (Best o 14) in the Classic Mode, where it’s possible to buy weapons at the beginning of each round. To succeed in that category, it is important to understand how all weapons work, after all, we never know the amount of Star Coins we can get at each round. With that in mind and considering the fact that players usually start with a pistol, we’ve created this weapon guide, where you will find details about all pistols and shotguns available in Hyper Front beta testing. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Pistols

Pistols are not the player’s favorite weapon in Hyper Front because they commonly don’t cause great damage. The first two stages of Hyper Front’s Classic Mode, however, don’t give participants enough Star Coins for them to purchase long-range or assault weapons, but shields and pistols. With that in mind and taking into consideration that the first kills are executed with pistols, it’s recommended to get used to them. During beta testing, five pistols can be purchased with Star Coins: M92, USP, Heavy Pistol, Sawed-Off, and CZ75.

M92: With 12 bullets in its magazine and with a good fire rate for a pistol, the M92 is the standard pistol of Hyper Front and showcases balanced attributes. If you choose this weapon to fight for your first kills, shoot from at a maximum of 20 meters. While doing that, this weapon deals 79 at the head, 27 at the body, and 23 at the legs. For distances between 20 and 50 meters, the damage will fall off to 67 for headshots, 23 when hitting the chest, and 13 at the legs. It can be bought for 200 Star Coins.

USP: This is the second most powerful pistol of Hyper Front and has the advantage of having a gun silencer, which will be helpful to get a kill without being noticed. With 15 bullets in its magazine, minimum recoil, and a good fire rate, this is a good weapon to pick during the first rounds. When shooting up to 20 meters, a headshot deals 106 damage, 31 when hitting the chest, and 25 at the legs. For distances between 20 and 50 meters, a USP deals 87 damage at the head, 26 at the body, and 26 at the legs. Costs 400 Star Coins.

HEAVY PISTOL: Inflicting 159 points of damage when shot at the head and allowing to fire six times before recharging, this is the most powerful pistol in Hyper Front, though you must shoot at your target from up to 30 meters away. Avoid using this weapon for medium and long distances.

SAWED-OFF: this pistol acts as a mini shotgun and can fire seven bullets per shot, which means that you will need to open fire from a really short distance. If you shoot from up to 7 meters, each bullet that hits the enemies’ head will cause 50 points of damage, 25 at the chest, and 21 at the legs. From 7 to 15 meters, each bullet inflicts 34 points of damage at the head, 17 at the chest, and 13 at the legs. Beyond 15 meters, using this weapon is not recommended. It can be bought with 300 Star Coins.

CZ75: if the sawed-off pistol has attributes that resemble a mini shotgun, CZ75 mirrors a mini SMG, as it comes with a fire rate that allows you to spray your enemies into a corner, but also has a considerable recoil. With 13 bullets in its magazine, this weapon deals 74 damage at the head, 25 at the body, and 21 at the legs when shooting from up to 15 meters. It costs 500 Star Coins.

Shotguns

If you like to play FPS at a very short range and enjoy killing foes while advancing through the battlefield, then shotguns might suit you best. These weapons are known for their high burst damage, allowing you to kill several opponents but shooting only a few times. As shotguns fire more than one projectile per shoot, you will probably miss the target if fighting at longer distances. During Hyper Front beta testing, there are only two shotguns available: M870, and AA12.

M870: this semi-automatic shotgun has 6 bullets in its magazine and takes 5.6 seconds to recharge. If you choose this weapon to take your enemies down, fight from no more than 8 meters. While doing that, this gun deals 70 damage at the head, 35 at the chest, and 30 at the legs. From 8 to 15 meters, the damage falls off: 58 at the head, 29 at the chest, and 24 at the legs. As this weapon is quite slow, its recoil is minimum.

AA12: with a higher fire rate, this automatic weapon can shoot its 7 projectiles per magazine in a quick way. Mixing SMG and shotguns attributes, the AA12 has the aftereffect of high recoil and less damage per bullet: shooting up to 8 meters at the head deals 58 damage, 29 at the body, and 24 at the legs; from 8 to 15 meters, each projectile at the head inflicts 44 damage, 22 at the body, and 18 at the legs. Beyond 15 meters, it’s better to choose another weapon.
