Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is a brand-new RPG that follows the original storyline of the anime/manga IP of Jujutsu Kaisen. Players can summon and collect their favourite characters from the series such as Yuji Itadori, Gojo Satoru, and Sukuna Ryomen. The game plays out in a turn-based order wherein players can strategically choose their moves and execute their foes. In this article, we will be sharing some amazing tips and tricks to accelerate your progression in the early game.

Tip #1. Choose a Strong Starter Hero

As part of the global launch campaign, the developers behind Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade are offering all new players a SSR hero selector ticket that can be used in the gacha system to choose any 1 of 10 select SSR characters. While all of these characters are quite powerful, even among SSRs, there exist some heroes that are beyond amazing. Choosing such characters from the start will not only guarantee easier time in the story mode but also set you up for future teams you may create.

At the time of writing, some of the top picks we can suggest to get from this free SSR ticket are as follows:

  • Gojo Satoru (The Strongest)
  • Nobara Kugisagi (Girl of Steel)
  • Jogo (Cursed Spirit’s Pride)
  • Kento Nanami (Ratio Technique)

Tip #2. Focus on Novice Missions

While the game’s official tutorial ends quite quickly, the real tutorial begins when you start the novice missions. These missions are divided into multiple parts, and offer generous rewards for doing tasks that you would anyways do in order to increase power and gain resources. Some of the resources offered by these missions are indispensable and cannot be received from other avenues in the game, such as the free SSR ticket. We would recommend that all new players try to complete these missions as soon as possible in order to reap all the rewards and progress their account efficiently. Plus, these missions also offer individual rewards for completion, enabling you to continue playing the game with more AP in the bag.

Tip #3. Upgrade your Characters

Perhaps one of the biggest selling points of RPG games like Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade is that you can increase the power level of your characters. Even the weakest or lowest rarity characters can get stronger, provided you pour enough resources into their development. There are multiple ways to strengthen your characters, with the primary one being leveling them up. You will need cursed objects in order to increase their level which essentially boosts the character’s base stats such as Attack, HP, and Defense. Further, you can also improve the grade of a character and unlock additional passive and active abilities.

Tip #4. Claim all your Rewards from Mail

The Mail option unlocks when you finish the initial tutorial. Inside this in-game mail, you should find all the rewards distributed by the developer as part of the pre-registration and global launch campaign. Even all the rewards you got from entering redeem codes end up here. You can choose to either claim all rewards 1-by-1 or in an instant claim all. It’s important to note that these rewards can expire, so make sure to get them instantly when you see them. You should be able to get at least 6000 cubes, some JP, AP chests, and summoning tickets from the rewards. Feel free to test your luck in the gacha system in hopes of pulling more SSR characters.

Tip #5. Counter the Element of Enemy

One of the main strategic decisions taken by players in tough combat situations is which characters to bring in the team. Yes, while you should bring your strongest characters, it’s also important to note that the game gives you a chance to deal increased damage to your enemies. This is done via the element system wherein each enemy or ally is assigned a base element according to which they react in combat situations. The 4 elements are – Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow. Yellow is neutral against all other elements.

Blue is stronger against red, while red is stronger against green. Similarly, green is weaker to red but stronger against blue. Bringing characters that have an element advantage over the enemies significantly increases your chances of winning as you will deal increased damage and take decreased damage.
