King Arthur: Legends Rise, the latest turn-based RPG to be undergoing soft launch is making some huge news. Developed and published by Kabam Games INC, the game has received strong feedback and improved its gameplay mechanics since the last closed beta. As the game’s global launch creeps nearer and nearer, let’s take a brief look at all the tips we have in store for new players who are looking for a fresh breath of air in a holistic medieval setting. King Arthur: Legends Rise is available to be downloaded as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store with in-game microtransactions enabled.

In this article, we are going to be listing some of our personally observed helpful tips while playing the current open beta of King Arthur: Legends Rise. We have tried our best to explain each of the tip in detail and keeping the language new player friendly. We wish adventurers the best of luck on their journey in King Arthur: Legends Rise.

Tip 1. Your Characters can Change Affinity and Skills! 

For those unaware, King Arthur: Legends Rise is a unique hero-collector RPG that has over 40+ unique character to collect and use in battles. Although each character has their own weapons assigned to them in their base form, these weapons can be changed as well upon acquiring their weapon relics. Once you obtain 10 of their weapon relics, you can fuse them to make a new weapon for the same character. Each character has 3 different weapons to choose from, with each weapon granting them a different affinity and new abilities. You can only equip 1 weapon at a time on your character.

Perhaps the first game to introduce such a mechanic, this is not something that is easy to understand due to the fact that each character can be played in 3 different ways essentially. This opens up many different ways to use each hero. For example, the main character Arthur is a great DPS hero with his fire weapon. He is also given for free and his weapons can be unlocked by completing the main story.

Tip 2. Focus on Completing Adventure Mode

One of the most important tips that can be given to any player of King Arthur: Legends Rise is to simply focus on progressing through the normal difficulty mode of Adventure. The Adventure mode should be your key concern primarily due to 2 big reasons – locked content and juicy resources. No other area in the game will provide you with more resources apart from the adventure mode. The resources include the likes of Normal Summoning Tickets, Advanced Summoning Tickets, Stamina bottles, EXP potions, random epic hero summon ticket, random legendary hero summon ticket, gold, gems, and much more.

A lot of the content in the game is also locked behind clearing certain stages in the Adventure mode. Some of the content includes the likes of Arena, the Market, the Forge, the equipment dungeons, EXP dungeon, Gold dungeon, Mages Tower, and much more. Further, you can also unlock the higher difficulties of the Adventure mode once you complete it on Normal difficulty.

Tip 3. Don’t Sleep on the Market

The Market is one of the best ways to get your hands on some valuable resources at the tip of your fingers without much work. Naturally, you will need to have the Market unlocked first in order to access it. The requirement to unlock it is to beat the Chapter 3 of Adventure mode on Normal difficulty. The Market offers items that refresh themselves automatically every 24 hours. You can also manually refresh the items listed in the market by either using Gems. The first refresh of the day is free. Some of the items listed in the Market include Small EXP Potions, Common Mana Orbs, Uncommon Mana Orbs, and Equipment Enhancement Stones.

Tip 4. Make Sure to Constantly Upgrade your Characters 

If you have played games similar to King Arthur: Legends Rise in the past, you might not be surprised by this fact that stronger characters are a requirement as you move ahead. There’s a special little tutorial provided by the developers that lists all the different ways you can enhance the characters and provide them with more stats. Some of our favourite ways include levelling up characters, promoting their ranks, upgrading their skills, and of course, equipping them with good quality gear that matches their play style. 

Tip 5. The Vigor System is Key to Winning Battles

King Arthur: Legends Rise has a unique battle system which takes its own unique take on the classic turn-based combat system. Although the premise of combat remains the same – each hero gets to move on their own turn, there are some unique factors that have been added. This is where we are going to talk about the much-debated Vigor system. Each hero on the battlefield generates some Vigor, represented by the blue energy bar below your character screen in battles. 

The Vigor is consumed when heroes on your team want to use more powerful skills, namely their 2nd and 3rd active abilities. The higher the base rarity of the hero, the more Vigor their skills will cost. Similarly, their basic attacks are the main source of Vigor regeneration over time. You have to be very careful as to how you tackle the situation during tough fights as not having enough Vigor to use particular skills can change the tide of battles.
