The Life System Explained

The lives in Matching Story – Puzzle Games indicate the number of attempts available to complete a level, starting with a maximum of 5. This limit can be extended to 8 if you purchase the Golden Ticket in the Seasonal Pass. Each failed attempt results in the loss of one life. A life is restored every 30 minutes. You can see how many lives you have from the number on the heart-shaped icon on the top left corner of the island screen. If you are a member of a team, you can request lives from your teammates. You can not ask for lives if you have more than 10 lives. You can also use Diamonds to buy more lives.

Infinite lives is a special reward that allows you to play match-3 levels without using a life within a given time limit. There are a couple of ways to get unlimited lives:

  • As part of the daily bonus.
  • Unlock the premium island
  • During sales and special offers via microtransactions
  • Join the events such as the Lightning Fever or Cheer Circuit.

  • Check the goals before the start of a level and play for the goals to clear faster.
  • Take a good look at the game field before starting and plan out your moves rather than making random matches.
  • Sometimes you should ignore the game’s prompts as they are not always the best option or course of play. Only use them when you don’t see any other possible matches.
  • Try to make matches at the bottom of the field. Falling pieces increases your chances of getting automatic matches.
  • Try to make bigger matches so you can get better power-ups.
  • Combine power-ups to clear the field and complete the goals faster.
