An Intuitive yet Strategic Puzzle RPG

The gameplay mechanics of Mergedom: Home Design are quite simple yet intuitive. The core of the gameplay is quite simple – merge the different tools together to create new items. Players need to optimize the type of items they want to merge by checking out what the customers are demanding from them. The customers are the NPC characters that have multiple orders given to you. In exchange for completion of their orders, the customers will reward the players with a currency called as “Stars”. 

Stars are extremely useful and are particularly required to complete the “Tasks” that you are given. By doing the tasks, players can expect to unlock a lot of decorative areas for their house. New decorations and sub-areas for each main area can also be unlocked by completing tasks. The gameplay of Mergedom: Home Design allows players to play at their leisure, as it makes use of an intricate energy system. The energy system states that each move done on the puzzle board consumes up 1 point of energy. You can view the amount of energy, stars, and coins that you possess by checking the main menu. Energy recharges over time, and can be considered as a freemium currency. On the other hand, Stars and Coins need to be earned by actively playing the game.

Different Gameplay Systems

• Item Queue – Item queue is the location where you can check out your owned items and purchases. It is present at the bottom of the game board. 
• Customer Orders – As we discussed above, these are orders given to use by customers. These orders demand a specific item created and delivered. You can check the merging process to create the item. Once delivered, the customer will give you a Star.
• Brown Boxes – Brown boxes are items that can be seen on the puzzle map but they are not unlocked yet. Brown boxes essentially provide you with lesser but different new constituent items. You can use these items to merge into each and create new tools. Brown boxes are limitedly present on the board.

• Chained Items – To unlock the rest of the map on the puzzle board, you must have seen some chained items. These are locked and require the player to use a duplicate created item on them to unlock. These items also open the path to clear the entire puzzle board.
• Bubbles – When two items are merged, bubbles are produced that contain an excess of the newly created item. Using your gold, you can burst a bubble and obtain an additional high-level item. Watching an advertisement can also burst some of the bubbles.

Understanding the Different Currencies

Mergedom: Home Design also has a lot of currencies that you should know about. Here is a short description about each of them:

• Energy – Energy is one of the 3 main currencies available in Mergedom: Home Design. It is used extensively when you play the game. 1 energy is used whenever you take out items from collectives. Energy is recharged over time at the rate of 1 energy per 2 minutes. One of the best ways to get energy is to simply wait, or you can purchase it via microtransactions.
• Coins – Coins are one of the 3 main currencies available in Mergedom: Home Design. They are used majorly to help you open chests. 100 coins can be used to instantly open a chest on the puzzle map. 
• Stars – Stars are one of the 3 main currencies available in Mergedom: Home Design. They are used extensively when you play the game. Stars are used primarily to complete tasks. You can get Stars by fulfilling customer orders, or you can purchase them via microtransactions.
