With a full-fledged Guild system, players can embark on quests and collaborate with others, while each unique class offers diverse playstyles. This guide explores meta builds for the Acolyte and Merchant classes. Let’s begin!
Acolyte Build
The Acolyte is the classic healer focused on supporting his team. This class is quite unpopular and underrated by most beginners. They prefer Mage and Swordsman, who have very different roles to the Acolyte in the game.
The secret of this class is that you need to do all types of missions until you reach level 40. After that, you can change classes to Priest and become a great support for your team. The Acolyte is a controversial class because it has different ways of playing. It is possible to play it by focusing on simply offering support to your team or as an exorcist Acolyte, focusing on offensive light skills and making the character capable of causing decent damage to enemies.

Main attributes of the Support build: Intelligence (INT), Vitality (VIT), and Dexterity (DEX).

- Piercing Staff I: One-handed wand of level 40, with ATKM +57 and INT +2, has two card slots. This weapon is used in support and exorcist builds.
- Reinforced Steel Shield I: Level 40 shield, with DEFF +33, Max HP +216, and DEX +1, has two card slots.
- Refined Cloak I: Level 40 armor, DEFF +99, Max HP +288, and DEX +1. This armor has no special effect.
- Refined Hood I: Level 40 cape, DEFF +33, Max HP +144, and DEX +1. This cover has no special effect.
- Refined Boots I: Level 40 footwear, DEFF +33, Max HP +144, and DEX +1. This shoe has no special effect.
These are the main equipment for the three Acolyte builds while evolving your character throughout the game’s story. It is also possible to equip some cards to increase the character’s power in these equipments, so some card recommendations are the Mimic card, which increases magical attack and spell casting time, and the Greater General card, which also increases magical attack and physical attack.
Suppose you want to dedicate time to getting even better, stronger (and rarer) cards. In that case, we recommend the Marduk card, which increases the intelligence attribute and does not let the character be affected by the negative Silence status, and the Most High General card, which increases magic attack and ATKM every three equipment refinements. These last two cards are powerful and rare to obtain.
Merchant Build
The Merchant is a unique class in Ragnarok Origin. It provides significant trading benefits that allow you to earn a lot of money in the game. Therefore, most players consider the Merchant to be a support class that exists solely to generate money.
But even so, the Merchant can also be a good class and highly effective during battles. And, if you’re committed to playing this class, the Blacksmith is an evolution class that completely changes the character’s play style. We recommend carrying heavy iron blocks to place in your Cart as, this way, the damage of your skills will increase considerably. Now, let’s move on to the recommended Merchant build:
Main attributes: Strength (STR), Physical Attack (ATQF), and Attack Speed (VATQ).
Suggested equipment for the build:
- Orc Ax I: Level 40 two-handed axe, with ATQF +112 and STR +2. This weapon has two card slots and has the following effects: 50% damage to Small Monsters, 75% damage to Medium Monsters, and 100% damage to Large Monsters.
- Refined Cape I: Level 40 armor, with DEF +99, Max HP +288, and DEX +1, this cape has no special effect.
- Refined Hood I: Level 40 cape, with DEF +33, Max HP +144, and DEX +1, this cape has no special effect.
- Refined Boots I: Level 40 footwear, DEFF +33, and DEX +1. This pair of boots has no special effect.
These are the main equipment for the Merchant during the game’s story. Additionally, it is possible to place some cards in these items to increase their power. The recommended cards for this are the Sohee card, which increases your life and mana recovery, and the Golem card, which increases your physical and magical attack.
And, if you want to go after some even more powerful cards, there are some good options, such as the Minorous card, which, in addition to increasing your physical and magical attack, makes your character deal more damage against Large-type monsters and the Hydra card, which increases your damage against Humanoid-type monsters. However, be aware that these last two cards, in addition to being powerful, are scarce to obtain.
